Attending your work without fear of attack

Recommended Posts

The biggest question on everyone's minds (IMO) should be why was Lennon with all his increased (supposed 24hr) security allowed to be attacked. The guy was running along the track for a fair distance before he reached the end of the advertising boards. Why wasn't there security at the end of the advertising boards where there was an obvious opening and weak spot in the security?

PS - That's a loaded question.

Unfortunately this is all being portrayed as a very simple issue by many media outlets when its anything but. They've lumped in all the abuse, attacks and death threats as being one and the same, the result being Lennon appears to be the victim of sectarian abuse & hate.

Its far too complex an issue to report like that, but they're simply not going to let that get in the way of a good headline. Which doesn't do Rangers fans any favours at all regardless of the facts of the case.

Death threats aside, I can't believe Celtic's complete lack of responsibility for how their staff have behaved this season. What exactly did they hope to achieve and what did they think would happen????
