Celtic and Rangers For Craig Leveinâ??s Noâ??Show.

UEFA have vowed to suspend both Glasgow clubs from European competition if Craig Levein goes ahead with his controversial team selection for Scotlandâ??s Euro qualifier with Spain.

Technically Scotland have their fate in their own hands, with a victory over Spain ensuring them of a play off place however Levein has decided to field the worldâ??s first 1-0-0-0 formation.

In a bizarre move he will play Rangers keeper Allan Mcgregor on his own against the World Champions, whilst the rest of the squad have been sent to cheer on Lithuania in their match against the Czech Republic.

A defeat for the Czechs would also see Scotland progress and speaking earlier today Levein explained his belief that come the final whistle his team will restore some national pride after poor performances in Europe this season.

â??I looked at the Spanish line up and nearly faintedâ? said the Ex Hearts boss, â??I asked myself where we could make the most difference and decided weâ??d be best off showing the Lithuanians how to get behind their team.â?

â??Weâ??re taking this fixture very seriously and aim to get their nice and early on Tuesday so that the lads can sink a few beers and learn some of the Lithuanian songs.â?

â??The Czechs wonâ??t know whatâ??s hit them when they run out to a chorus of Flower of Scotland and if it looks like they could win weâ??ll invade the pitch and get the game abandoned.â?

UEFA General secretary, Hans Van Rumple said that the move went against the spirit of the competition and that both Glasgow Rangers and Celtic would feel the full brunt of the punishment.

However both Neil Lennon and Ally Mccoist will be watching to see if this tactic is something they can use in future Champions League campaigns.
