McCoist - No need to panic

Recommended Posts

Of course not, throwing away a 12(technically 9 if you wish) to a 2 point deficit in 2 months. Playing the worst football in my lifetime (don't get on at me I'm young). I also missed the 05/06 season where we were third.

Plus the fact of the European exploits were a shambles, the squad also lacks discipline (How many red cards have we had?) and to top it off appealing McCullochs card so that he could play tonight says it for me, granted he played ok, not great though.

Looking at that photo in that article, he looks a bit panicked himself. Still, I'd be the same watching that lot of under achievers.

That was a really poor performance last night, following the weekends rubbish against St Mirren. We started that one well too, but as soon as something goes wrong, we collapse. That doesn't fill me with confidence and what are 'new faces' going to do if he's not going to play them???

The midfield is where the problem lies.So slow and predictable we also isolate the strikers.Ball retention is poor and we lack any sort of inventiveness with McCulloch in the centre, sadly the manager keeps on playing someone who struggles to get around the pitch.

Try the young Norwegian TKB in the centre with McKay on the left.Give the team some energy and a better passing style from middle to front. These last 5 games or so has shown the midfield to be totally lacking in any sort of quality.

Perhaps a change of captain is needed too ... Bocanegra would be my cap of choice these days.

As I said at #44 under "Disgraceful" I think his body language tells you everything you need to know; the world or at least Rangers' world is on his shoulders and he is not bearing the burden very well. I would be tempted to make Papac or Bocanegra the captain and see if that released Davis to play with a bit more freedom.
