Maccabi thoughts from the Herald.

I've never believed a crowd scares fans.......i think the crowd drives on our own team......gives them extra energy.....make no mistake they are a decent side...we'll need to be in top form to beat them.....a Livorno type performance.....if not the odds of 11/2 on them look good...C'mon the GERS...

The crowd can/should make a difference against Juve and Reals of this world. against wee teams we should be expecting wins and all this pap about the subway loyal etc is a distraction from the under performance.

Half these balloons dont know how privelaged they are to be asked to pull on the shirt something most of us can only dream of.

Im going to stop as I can feel the blood pressure rising

Well this 'wee' team gave Liverpool a bit of a hard time so we need to be careful.

Fans definitly play a part hopefully everyone will put the SPL to one side for the night and get totally behind the team with singing and encouragement instead of moaning at every astray pass (sorry. the guy that sits behind me constantly just moans and greets about everything - if he doesnt stop it I am going to take off my bra and stuff it in his big gob!!!!!).
