It surprised me too given the hype about McGregor being our most highly paid player. Problem is though we need to save a million a month. In total guesswork, I'd say our wage bill is £350k a week. That's probably higher than what it actually is. Anyway, point is it being reduced by a massive amount doesn't help much with the remaining 700k or whatever is left. Who said I was condemning you? What's with the melodrama. You're normally a sound and rational guy, one of the better posters on here. This comment is unlike you. To clarify, because I am not condemning you - I was merely pointing out that because the players had themselves proposed the wage cut, then saying that you were uncertain anyone in any walk of life would ever take a 25% cut (as if the administrators themselves had attempted to impose this wage reduction on the players) missed the point. It was the idea of the players, not the administrators. So it's not really a tough one. Unless, I have missed your point perhaps that you are in fact praising them for taking this wage cut when others would not.
