It's a bit strange to me Danny, making plans on guesses.

Surely if the outcome is not known, or at least been revealed to the wider public, how can you tell what you're negotiating about???

Oh now, according to 'saverangers' we'll make at least 9M from this...aye, right.

Where did SaveRangers say that? I can't see how the two are connected. Glad you're not my stockbroker: instead of buying shares in companies for my portfolio you'd just be giving my money away to them...

Because guys like Whitehouse and Clark will know the various permutations, as will bidders. If there are say 4 possible scenarios, you draft up a plan for each. It is guesswork, but if we were specifically waiting for outcomes to be confirmed, we could be waiting forever.

Could it not be the case that the outcome of the case is known but being kept private ?

Could plausibly be that the administrators have had word what the outcome is but HMRC (or the judges....) have agreed to hold off on announcement until it is known what interested parties there are. The administrators could have interested parties provide a non-disclosure, confidentiality agreement so that they can run their own maths.

Not saying that is the case, but surely plausible.

That runs through my head a lot right now. There will be people say that the judgment shouldn't be rushed just because it's Rangers. I disagree. I'm pretty sure in special cases with huge public interest they will have "powers" to speed up the final decision.

On the other hand, could there be some sort of legal issue with doing that and not publishing the result the day they come to a final decision, IE keeping back a judgement so people can manoeuvre the way the do business?

One a personal note, i actually don;t think the PM group will get in. Why would admin give in to Tickitus if they are gonna take them to court knowing they are probably going to win the case against Tickitus? I also don;t like the fact we are going to use them as our bank therefor getting deeper into debit with them. If someone can explain to me in laymens terms that i've got this assumption wrong, please do.

One more before i go :D I also firmly believe that the normal fans involved with the Blue Knights will leave Paul Murray and his counterpart high and dry if they don't succeed in buying Rangers. They jump ship in a heart beat and be knocking on the door of whom ever gets us.

That's what I'm thinking as well craig, especially as the admin are talking the way they are, by offering negotiations.

Personally, all these professional types are dodgy bastards, and I'm sure they'll be defended by their fellow professionals, but dodgy they remain to me.

How much is it they are being paid again??? Is it by the job, or by the length of time this situation lasts???

One thing to remember is that judges cant just make snap decisions, they have to discover very grey areas of the law and interpret them.

My company have been through a few arbitrations recently (which are similar to Rangers vs HMRC) and we think we have a concrete case in each and every one.... and have lost all of them.... OK, not a good example :D

What I am getting at though is that we deliver our evidence, looks like our case is concrete and a judge (or judges...) can simply say "aye yer right" or "no, you lose" - but they cant. They have to confer, they have to study the evidence on both sides, they have to be SEEN to be studying the evidence. And they STILL will drag it out for the 90 days that they are technically allowed in arbitration court.

Enough with bashing the "professional types" - we get offended you know :D;)
