ANOTHER Administrators' Statement

Recommended Posts

Duff and Phelps, the administrators at Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement this evening.

Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: "We positively welcome any investigation by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA).

"This will enable the true facts to emerge and demonstrate clearly that we have acted at all times with the best interests of creditors, the court and the Club at heart.

"We were contacted by the IPA following a request from the BBC to review their allegations of a conflict of interest.

"There has been wave after wave of wild and inaccurate reporting and speculation and we will be very happy to co-operate fully with the investigation. We have already spoken to the IPA."

Just imagine, for a few seconds, if the IPA finds nothing. A short "We are sorry!" by the BBC ... after dozens upon dozens of headlines besmirching our club's name. Bringing the name of the club into disrepute would make a nice case.

If D&P spent as much time getting us taken over as they do making statements, we'd have found a new owner by the end of February.

That said, you do have enough people wanting first hand information on a daily (if not shorter) basis ... either from the admins, Paul Murray, Brian Kennedy, Bill Miller, and now Charlie Green & Co..

Interesting that they had the time to make this statement and the one earlier regarding legal action against the SFA, yet they didn't manage to make a statement to say that the CVA proposal had been sent out to creditors.

Why do we need to be told if the CVA offer has been sent out, can we not just leave that matter to the admin and let them get on with it without a running commentary?
