SFA to launch legal proceedings to reclaim £200k fine handed out to Craig Whyte

It will be interesting to see how the SFA can convince the court that Whyte owes tehm the money through any legal obligation. I suspect this where the SFA suffer another defeat and come out of their dream that they are anything other than a sporting organisation.

Mind you it would be nice to see both bleeding themselves dry in legal costs in a protracted case. Yes I could enjoy that.

hope they win as if not rangers may well be liable.

Why can Rangers be liable to a fine given to a defined person when they received a fine for the same misdemeanor? I very much doubt that they can claim the money from Rangers although I am no legal genius and could be horribly wrong. If a representative gets a speeding fine while doing his job, surely the company can't be held responsible .

Pete is right, Rangers as a club have already been fined as part of a sanction (the other bit still ongoing) and cannot be liable to the SFA for another sanction on a named person.

The SFA are barking up the lum on this, their legal council are taking the pish out of them.
