Black: Iâ??ll be a Div 3 star

Recommended Posts

IAN BLACK last night issued a come-and-get-me plea to Ally McCoist â?? and insisted he would play in the Third Division.

The former Hearts midfielder had agreed to sign for the Rangers newco if theyâ??d been placed into Division One and the transfer embargo was lifted.

That deal was ripped up and declared void once Gers were condemned to the bottom tier. However Black told SunSport he would still contemplate playing for the Ibrox side.

He said: â??The contract will be void because it was for playing in the First Division.

â??If they want me in the Third Division, then theyâ??ll have to approach me again.

â??I donâ??t have anything else happening at the moment. Iâ??m unemployed right now and looking for a team. I have a family to support, so I need to get back into work.

â??Iâ??m open to offers â?? from Rangers or anybody else. Iâ??ll see how it goes.â?

Black slated those players who decided not to stay on and sign for the newco.

He said: â??Theyâ??ll have there own circumstances surrounding it. But if they were as close to the manager as they said they were, they could have helped Rangers financially by staying on and then being bought.

â??That would have helped put the team back on the map. But they didnâ??t.

â??Looking from the outside, Iâ??d maybe have had that respect for the manager and the club.â?

What concerns me is he's been out of contract for a couple of months and nobody has made a move to sign him apart from us, Is there issues with his fitness or something else we don't know about that is stopping other clubs from making a move ?

Why did Hearts not offer him a new deal ?

A fit Black would stroll the SFL
