gerry neef was the first german to play for rangers he made his debut in a 3-0 win over morton back in april 1969 but he was only first choice keeper for a season spending most of his time being understudy to peter mccloy his daughter melanie represented scotland on the running track .

George "Corky" Young was a 'one club' man playing all his professional football for Rangers, where he made over 400 appearances.

 

His nickname "Corky" came about because he carried a "lucky" champagne cork around with him.
