Scottish / British Transfer talk Summer 2013

Recommended Posts

All the lovely stuff can be placed in here ..

... such as ... as we knew ... Arsenal, Cardiff, Stoke, Galatasaray and Inter Milan are among several clubs also interested in the Hoops’ prized asset. Yes, we're talking Wanyama, some months ago a supposed ManU target for 15m!

As it looks, Southampton (yep, Southampton) is willing to go ballistic ...

CELTIC last night agreed a record-breaking £10million-plus fee with Southampton for Victor Wanyama.

The huge Wanyama fee will shatter the Scottish record of £9.5m Spartak Moscow paid Celtic for Aiden McGeady in 2010.

Yeah, if you look at this you'd think that Scum FC has become the Porto of Scotland. Credit to them for being so "clever", though maybe there's a naughty sell-on clause? Some day, the EPL Sky bubble will burst eventually ...

On a sidenote, it is not that we haven't bee shrewd either, even though people love to whip up e.g. Flo. How about Hutton (+9m), van Bronckhorst (+4,5m), Boumsong (+8m), Cuellar (+7,8m), Ferguson (+7,5m) ...

Liverpool certainly been the most active so far. Signed Toure, Mignolet, Alberto and Aspas so far. This will give them more depth but I still cant see them being top 4 this season.

Will be interesting to see what David Moyes does.

And Arsenal will sign a few players, hopefully Higuian is signed up.

Paulinho-Brazil_2960652.jpg?20130622131323

Corinthians are waiting to hold talks with Paulinho after the midfielder claimed it would be a 'fantastic opportunity' to play for Tottenham Hotspur.

Paulinho is currently on Confederations Cup duty with Brazil and claimed last week that Premier League side Spurs had made an offer.

Reports suggest that Spurs have matched the 24-year-old's 20million (£17m) buy-out clause and Corinthians director Duilio Monteiro Alves wants to discuss the situation with Paulinho after the Confederations Cup.

Well, well ...

Becoming a habit. Hughes, Rae.....now Wylde

Shame Wylde's career has went the way it has. I thought he was promising when playing for Gers and a good direct winger, although he still had a bit to work on.
