Rangers first Q&A

Recommended Posts

Murray: 'I think we should put a plaque above the door that says 'never forget the past four years.'

That is an absolutely terrible answer because firstly, it won't be "the past four years" for very long and secondly, it was a serious question.

Murray: 'Murray Park has not been nearly enough use. When you look at Celtic, they've done well to find players off the beaten track'

Murray: 'You can't produce players unless you've got leadership. There's no leadership on the board and no scouting network'

Murray: 'One of the most important people at a club is the chief scout. We don't have 1. For a club the size of Rangers, that's disgraceful'

Gilligan: "I think we've got one chance at raising a really big number. Think back to the building of the club deck where we raised £8m.'

Murray: 'We'll certainly look at reemploying long-serving members of staff who've been sacked. We need to go in and rebuild brick by brick.'

Murray: 'We want to find someone who can build the club over 10-15 years. A manager with real potential, a young Sir Alex Ferguson'

Murray: 'It's not a question of getting rid of Ashley, he owns 9%. We're assuming the agreements are legal and we can't break them'

Gilligan: 'Whole ethos of cub is wrong. We should be enjoying ourselves. Winning is critical. I'd rather win playing a way we don't like.'
