Some debt break-down attempts from FF

BTC - £72,000,000 including interest & penalties

WTC - £4,200,000

we also owed HMRC £18,324, 285 according to the D&P report of 27/09/2012

Ticketus - £27,211,671

Dave King - £20,030,000

Debentures - £7,736,000

Trade & Expense - £7,033,666.

Hope this helps.

So if the BTC figure is removed, was the company ever insolvent at the point of liquidation?

We had a long term loan with Lloyds payable at £1,000,000 + interest pa which was down to £18,000,000

We had a revolving credit facility of £15,000,000 reviewable every year.

We had normal trade debts as well as football debts but nothing unusual in that.

In short the answer is no imo.

It was said a few times that HMRC gives companies a certain amount of time (up to half a year, IIRC) to pay their bills. Especially if these companies have a decent pay record. Why they did that despite knowing of Whyte's troubles is another matter ... I would not be surprised if there was no in-house interaction at HMRC about that.

Fact is that the numbers flung about with regards to our debt are liberal at best and you would expect a journo worth his salt would get these details right. I doubt that many journos these days know what salt actually is.

RFC were responsible for the payments as it was RFC who collected those stoppages from RFC employees. Geddit?

I seem to remember that Whyte was the only one running the show and knew where the money went*. He had an FD, but (according to that person) told him exactly what he had to do with regards to tax et al. Why the FD did not went public is another matter. And BTW, this is not about conspiracies, but how a club-comapny can be run and was. And if anything, it was dubious in the very least. This info is out there as well (can't remember the FD's name right now), so perhaps we stick the conspiracy standards as well as the assumption that Whyte could have been somehow stopped in-house, shouldn't we?

*Remember the similarities in this respect under Green and his heirs.

It's worth noting that duff and Phelps ran up millions of this debt to hmrc. But then why wouldn't they they knew we were going to be liquidated and wanted any money for themselves.

OldCo ... if anyone, it should be us marking this out.
