the truth is, though, that you cant use this kind of article in oneupmanship because we're just as bad.

I wasn't, as the article states in its opening paragraph, we are as bad as each other, but everything the author states about Timmy is spot-on - honest, journos? that'll never catch on here in Scotland.

agreed - no-one would have the guts to print that here. tell you what, though, if someone wrote an article about the stupidity of pursuing britishness and singing songs about hating celtic, how many of us would see it as yet another media attack on the club?

M8, you have missunderstood what the guy is saying - he is attacking Irish people for attaching themselves to a Scottish (sectarian) Club due to non-footballing issues. He isn't ripping into Sligo Rovers for being Irish, or singing Irish songs. Completely different from OUR press attacking OUR songs.

that was an absolutely cracking read. But im not sitting here gloating that someone has shown up the other half in their true light as the article to an extent applied to certain sections of our fans as well.

just a pity we dont have journalists of that calibre in our main stream media.

That was a terrific article which hit the nail on the head with alot of the troubles (for both teams) - if other gers fans read that would maybe stop scottish bears wearing england stuff to rangers games etc!

not the first time iv heard an irish person complain about their association with celtic over here!
