Someone was asking why the NI fans no longer sing The Sash and this was a reply posted by Fermanaghblue.

NI Protestants rarely got a good press, especially from the BBC. Fortunately we have some pretty clever people over here who have organised the NI fans into the best supporters anywhere. Its not just at football either. For years the Provos were wiping the floor with us propaganda wise and basically it was wise up or your finished. Even Ian Paisley has changed his image. He still hates the Republicans but now actually tries to explain why and not just shout. Sooner or later Rangers as a club will have to wise up. Rangers fans have to start it though. There's nothing wrong with the sash, but your there to support Rangers first. The best part of being an NI fan now is that the mhedia hate the fact they can't touch us, we're now no longer the punch bag we once were.

Kind of sums up the position we find ourselves in I think. If we cleaned up our act and just accepted that was the things had to be, we'd be untouchable by the media and the constant whinging from other supports.

Something to think about.
