When asked he was hardly going to say, we're not signing anyone and you're going to fell let down. Yes, but he maybe could have said, we'll see or we are still looking, maybe didn't realise it would have been taken as something good was likely to happen which most folk would have taken from that. I took nothing other than that from the non-story, and expect nothing less.
