I must admit to a small feeling of uncertainty at that forums utterings mate.

I don't know who is behind it or what connections they have with C1872 and our board.

My thing by signing up to c1872 was to maintain a clear space so that all of us could ask serious questions of the board if needed.

I think that your last comment is 100% correct mate. I have always been concerned about the potential conflict with the same individual on both the board and representing C1872, and if he is removed (to one or the other board), then in my mind, at least, the problem is greatly reduced. As for the RO' article, my guess is that due to the amount of criticism that King has received of late, Traynor has attempted to provide some perspective. I have no difficulty with Spiers, or anyone else criticising the board when justified, and hope that C1872 does fulfil their mandate of holding the board to account, when necessary.

Shouting and teeth gnashing won't get us anywhere. First, it would be interesting to hear what they have to say, but I would hazard a guess that much of the Board's strategy will be drowned out by the short term, current problems and how they came about. And perhaps rightly so. Still, I'd want to know what the Board has to say first before aiming the 8.8 at them.

As I said before, last season was probably more a success off the field than on it, given the struggles we faced with Ashley, MW and the team. While the EBT thing didn't came off, a line was finally drawn and Ashley was also dismissed, alongside with the old Sports Direct deal. The whole setup of the clubs has been turned about, with DoF, coaches and scouts being installed. And while all that is sure positive, the punter is more interested in what goes on out there on the field. From that perspective, we have reached the bottom of the valley and it is hard to envisage any instant path out of that. Patience has more or less evaporated and some good results are a requirement ASAP. We should still be clear about the possibilities right now, as any new manager may take a few weeks to change things and we won't get new players before January either.
