Setanta - Whittaker at RB

Recommended Posts

On Setanta's highlights programme yesterday the panel of "experts" reckoned Whittaker was almost certain to start at RB as we had spent £2million on him. A lot by our current standards. If you look at the Thomson transfer most fans said the same about him due to a similar fee. He must start as the manager needs to justify his fee.

I don't know if they were just stirring it up due to Hutton's great form (Zeta aside). But is general consensus not that Whittaker was bought to be used as a RM and back up RB? Has Walter not near enough said he will be tried at RM and if it's common knowledge to the fans how do the guys, whose job it is to know and talk about football not have a clue?

Hutton is without doubt first choice. The signing of Whittaker will keep him on his toes. Performances like the first half of last season and Zeta and he'll be out.

With Whittaker, Novo and McCulloch on the right, could Burke be a candidate for a loan move? Think he needs a run of games to get some confidence back

is there any links for the highlights yet?

I see, lower down, you have found your own links, however for future reference the bbc will have highlights on their website of this seasons games. The link for the ICT game can be found here for anyone who wants it:

I see you have all confirmed that Whittaker has been bought for right midfield, which just shows the standard of the clowns in the Scottish media. A litle bit of research is all that is needed. Quite pathetic.
