Rangers will meet Crvena Zvezda in the final round of Champions League qualifying after the Serbian side beat Levadia Tallinn on away goals.

The club known as Red Star Belgrade led 1-0 from the first leg but lost 2-1 in Estonia on Wednesday.

Deniss Malov and Konstantin Nahk scored for Levadia, however Igor Burzanovic's away goal proved decisive.

Rangers will be at home in the first leg next Tuesday, with the away tie expected to be played on 29 August.

The Gers safely negotiated their second round qualifier, beating Montenegrin champions Zeta 3-0 on aggregate.

red star today sacked their coach bosko djurovski. It seems that they have more problems that they are willing to admit.

Club in turmoil can only help, hopefully. Unless they get that extra 10% every side seems to get when players are trying to impress the new manager.

Another Serbian poster on FF (a Red Star fan) confirms saying the new guy will be announced at 3pm. However a further poster says Milorad Kosanović has been appointed.

Official site confirm sacking

RED STAR BELGRADE have been thrown into turmoil just five days before facing Rangers in the Champions League.

We can reveal that coach Bosko Djurovski has been fired on the eve of the new Serbian season and he will be replaced by former Red Star coach Milorad Kosanovic.

Dusan Basta, Red Star BelgradeThe other bad news for the Belgrade side is that influential full-back and vice-captain Dusan Basta is out of 3rd qualifying round 1st leg against Rangers after being booked in both legs of the previous round against Levadia Tallinn.

They have also have a major injury worry over playmaker Igor Burzanovic, who scored against Tallinn on Wednesday to send Red Star through on away goals to face Rangers.

The medical team are assessing the damage but the early indications are that he will not travel to Glasgow for Tuesday's first leg.

Kosanovic was boss before in the 1998/99 season and then half of the following campaign. The 56-year-old also managed the Serbia & Montenegro under-21s and coached in China with Dalian.

The Serb whose comments I have read says it is down to a poor performance

versus Tallin and also his comment that he "prayed they did not concede the third" was the last straw, showing the guy was clueless.

red star draw in the first game of our championship against Cukaricki. They were hosts but that didn't help them since they had another bad performance with almost no goal chances. Still, they look pretty confident since the media is backing them by constatly raising their already enormous egoism. They new coach even said how he is more optimistic after this draw and that they will be ready to face the Rangers in the "England".

I don't know if you are familiar with the new situation with Zeta. Their club secretary denied previously reported appologize to the Gers and told several incredible things. First, he protested because the police wanted all Rangers fans to start walking toward stadium an hour before the game kick off and the Gers officals refused that saying that "they can't affect the fans of their club". He further said that he's insulted with the parole "We are the people" suggesting that that was the way of the Gers fans to say how people in Montenegro are not civilized. What a nonsense. And the last, but not the least, he said that his club will ask the Rangers to refund 500 pounds since the Gers players didn't return the balls after the training and probably took them to Scotland...

Don't be hard on Montenegrians after you read this. They are not all like this here... Media in Serbia, which are mostly red star related, are strongly exploit this last fact...
