[FT] Rangers 1 (Dessers 44') - 1 Celtic

Bring Cerny on after half time as no doubt they will try and play full frontal attacking football in the first 10-15 mins and we have to be switched on.

I don't think it was meant to become decades instead of years.

Tolerance has been in very short supply.

We need a new updated quote

We Fear not the rough patches, for they're bound to come, and when they do , we'll meet them with calm heads and sound minds. No matter the worries that darken at our door, we have found a new light, we'll come out the other side stronger for the battles we've faced both on the field and off it  have been tough . Yet that's been the Rangers  way since the days of the brave pioneers and we must be ready no matter what the cost may be.

the four lads who had a dream had one heart beat beating in the same rhythm as the direction in which we wanted to go and that beat needs to be carried forward to this day, passion for football and the desire to play! We know we as fans have the passion for football but does this team have the desire to fulfill our dreams.

excuse the random quotes I come up with as I some times go on a tangent as use are aware by now 🤣

Is this your choice of line up or what you think BF will go with?

See for me Cerny and Hagi HAVE to play, they are the creativity and ones who are capable of that bit of magic.

The same high energy application as the previous matches is needed, get right into them and win every ball - its shown in the last few games they cant handle that and are not use to it.

Personally,  I think Barry will go with that as he will want to be cautious due to previous games where opposition have used fast counters and have worked for them and we have crumbled , I would use full frontal if I was confident we could pull it out the bag,  I’m not sure this team is capable even if we were to fling in Cerny & hagi, I think Barry will be cautious and I would pick the same lineup also.

Does anyone agree that Vardy would be a good deal for us despite his age? I’m sure he would be able to score us a few goals despite his age working along side Dessers with his epic shifts he puts in.

Short term and retaining his current condition / fitness then he would score for fun. Plus Defoe was easily the best finisher at 37 when he was with us. But it would be the wrong type of signing for me. Id also imagine he will be hunting a nice fat salary for 12 months in either the US or Middle East. A Premier League club may also take a punt on him for a year - like Leeds!

Absolutely, you've hit the nail on the head. In the short term, if he's still in top shape, his experience could definitely give us goals . We saw that with Defoe, his finishing was just on another level even at that stage of his career. However, I'm with you on it being the wrong type of signing for us  now in the direction we want to go, sure it will be a quick fix yet  the lure of a big final payday in the States or the Middle East is probably what he is looking for , even a short stint in the Premier League could be tempting for him also especially with newly promoted clubs who may offer him a bumper of a pay deal, For me, the focus needs to be on building with younger players who are fully invested in Rangers and the Scottish game for the long haul.

That mad yin he's married to will be pointing him towards the Saudi money, for sure.
