I'm not following your logic, Fa.

In the scenario you suggest, those who "needs to be ousted from our club"

will be in control.

No the ones who only see our club from making a profit at any moment given the opportunity.

Sure when the time comes to make a profit then by all means you deserve it but when the club is in tatters and the situation is dire then all members regardless of % need to understand that and T&Cs need to be implemented.

Dave king did a reasonable job I would say, yet what is his reasons for stepping back and being willing to sell his shares, in my opinion it's what I've just mentioned above.

Patrick Stewart caused some mess, and he has to accept responsibility.

Some sources mentioning to me that Stewart was apparently told by people within the club not to go ahead with yesterday's statement and did anyway.

Since being appointed he has done nothing but commit to a full on war with the clubs own supporters, and yesterday caused a media PR frenzy by apologising for a banner and causing a pile on that even got to national news, a banner that has since been deemed not to be criminal or hateful of anything.

For comparison, a celtic supporter was sacked from his work after being identified mocking the 66 of the Ibrox disaster at the stadium yesterday, and celtic have declined to comment on the matter!

Climb down and fuck off Patrick, before the support turn on you.

Said when he got the job it was a car crash of a signing , shouldnt be anywhere near the club.

Gersnet acknowledge that the avatar displayed by @L72 crossed a line and was unacceptable.

Our approach to member avatars has always been built on trust, with the responsibility placed on individuals to exercise good judgement.

We will reflect on how these avatars are managed and engage with forum members to ensure the right balance of trust, responsibility and oversight is maintained moving forward.

Gersnet is proud of its passionate members, and we all share a duty to protect the standards and reputation of our forum.

L72 acknowledges this acknowledgement, and insists that it is a harmless caricature of a Rangers Football Club Legend, albeit holding a shotgun.

L72 states that this avatar is not encouraging violence or hatred, merely that it is radiating staunch fucking coolness 😎

How he made his money isn't a secret and I'm guessing you already know.

There isn't a law against it but neither is there a law against having an opinion on it, yet.

I don't really know. I haven't researched the guy. A college goalkeeper, who made money in the US health/health insurance industry, possibly elsewhere, as far as I know.

You obviously have the inside track.

If he is as bad as you seem to imply, I think you should spill the beans.

One thing does worry me; post takeover, I expect there to be a campaign to blacken the new majority owners, to drive a wedge between them and the support, probably from the first hour, and probably in sensationalist style.

I don't think that rumour, assumptions, and tittle tattle, with little or nothing in the way of substantiation, from ourselves, will help.

If the Yanks are the black hats in this movie, let us know the why, the how, and the wherefore.

Nothing to do with what I said.

It was the murdering of thousands of innocent children I was talking about.

I don't care who is doing it.

It is VERY VERY WRONG and to support or not condemn it, is WRONG.

It is everything to do with what you said, in my humble, but experienced, opinion.

The only thing that will drive a wedge between the support in general and new owners will be if the support in general, don't like what they do with the football club.

You should leave your apparently entrenched opinion for enough time to simply see and call out the murdering of thousands of innocent children.

It doesn't matter who is doing it.

It is just so obviously wrong.

If your politics allow you to sweep it under the carpet, so be it, but do it with your eyes open and your morals in the gutter.

We don't really know what we are going to get, if and when the takeover is completed.

We only know that supposedly over 50% of the shares will be owned by people/group who want a financial return.

Time will tell....

What we need is a group of successful businessmen, from a variety of fields totally unrelated to sports, but who are fans, to take control of the Club, and to run it. Oh!........wait....

I have no idea what the future will bring, but I know for certain that I have no influence on it.

I don't really have a problem with people making a return. To make money from a sporting outfit, that sporting outfit has to be successful. To continue to generate returns, that outfit has to continue to be successful.

If Mr Cavenaugh is the lead investor, then it seems to me that he acts prudently by getting in tow with people who know how to run successful sports' teams. It's the transferability of skills which is important.

I think supporters sniping from the sidelines, on the basis of, well, nothing, as far as I can see, is unhelpful, and plays into the hands of those who would wish us naught but ill.
