International Fitba

These World Cup qualifiers are baffling. Some countries have played 3 games already while other groups havent even started. There is a mass of groups and half only have 4 countries per group. Used to be up to 7 in a group.

I've given up on international football i find it mostly boring it should be a celebration of all that's good in football instead it's like the italian leage of the late fifties until the mid sixties with the must not lose attitude

Agreed. It used to be all about representing a country but even the national game has gone corporate. Way to many games against countries who have suddenly appeared or cant even score a goal in qualifying. Plus you have players representing a country due to an Aunt's cousins.

Enjoyable game last night, 2-2 after ninety minutes and extra time and Portugal winning by a single penalty kick. Talent and athleticism all over the pitch, both sides attacking and no stupidity apart from one altercation quickly resolved and not resumed. Best match in ages.
