Have no way to Manchester :(

I was one of the people who got a train ticket with no number from Virgin trains i had to cancel as was told i wont get on any service that day , so cancelled and have tried every avenue i know to get to Manchester , phoned every coach company no seats left anywhere on anything , so i am throwing in the towel and settling for watching it on the bigscreens at Ibrox , totally gutted but its better than nothing

 

Anyone any suggetions or know of any spaces on anything ? , long shot i know

Take another train route down the east coast then get a train to Manchester from York or Hull etc

 

 

I booked online and wont get any money back for 2 weeks and cant really afford to pay another �£78 but will see as sounds like the only way is it with Virgin ?

Try GNER, they run a train from Aberdeen to London everyday. Takes just under 7 hours. Leaves Aberdeen at 9am and will get to Edinburgh approx lunch time then it stops at York, Hull, Doncaster and Peterborough. Ive taken it a few times and im sure you could then take local rail from one of the stations to Manchester via another place or 2.
