Motherwell dumped out of Europe by Nancy

Recommended Posts

M'well were pretty dire tonight. They fought for 90, but dire defending cost them 2 early goals. The solid Nancy defense rendered Motherwell's attacking attempts impotent. A 0-2 result on the night didn't do Nancy much justice. To be fair it could easily have been 0-4/0-5. The better team won.

Anyone else watch it?

Usual wee teams adding NOTHING to the coefficient.

It's up to Celtic now to keep us in the top 12 countries so that our champions go straight into the CL.

From a purely short term perspective WE added nothing to the coefficient either.

Obviously longer term (i.e. more than just THIS season) we did.

That's it in a nutshell. All bears have to grit their teeth and PRAY C****c do well in the CL. If you want them to fail, then you want Rangers to fail too because if we find ourselves locked out of the CL we'll be small time for years.

We'll have to see how it pans out for them, but I can't see C****c doing too well for the coefficient this year either. Looks like it might just be rotten year for Scottish teams in Europe. :sigh:

We don't need them to do well but could do with them getting a few results, finishing 3rd and have an ok UEFA run.

However, I think the damage to our coeff this year will be huge and affect us for the next 5 years.
