RANGERS will find out tomorrow if their Homecoming Scottish Cup fifth round clash with Forfar Athletic will take place on Sunday as planned.

Homecoming Scottish CupThe Loons' Station Park ground has been hit by the cold weather that has engulfed much of Britain over the last few days and conditions in Angus are difficult.

While there isn't much in the way of snow there, there has been plenty of frost and that could pose problems.

But with sunshine and showers expected over the next 24 hours or so, it is hoped a thaw might kick in despite the low temperatures.

A pitch inspection at the ground is planned for 11.30am and the Third Division outfit's officials are doing everything they can to ensure the game goes ahead.

We'll let you know whether it is taking place right here on the official Rangers website so make sure you check in with us again tomorrow lunchtime.

If the tie is postponed, the rearranged fixture is scheduled to take place at 7.45pm on Wednesday 18 February, three days after the Old Firm derby with Celtic.
