Forfar Return For Aaron

Recommended Posts

SPANISH winger Aaron will travel back to Station Park this afternoon for Rangers Reserves' league clash against Dundee United.

Maurice Edu, RangersOnly six days ago the tricky 19-year-old bagged his first top team goal against Dick Campbell's Forfar Athletic at the same ground and the youngster will hoping to enjoy similar good fortune today.

Tommy Wilson has been able to include several experienced players in his squad including Mo Edu, Steven Naismith, Graeme Smith, Christian Dailly and Brahim Hemdani.

United and Rangers last went head-to-head on October 29th at Murray Park and it was a game Dailly will want to forget having been sent off after only 45 seconds!

The Light Blues, with Barry Ferguson in the team that day, managed to scrape a 1-1 draw but Wilson is hoping his side can take all three points on this occasion.

He said: "United always make it a tough test and we are expecting another difficult game this afternoon.

"They always have a few experienced first-team players in their starting eleven but we are able to do the same on this occasion.

"It should be a cracking match although it's a shame we are missing a few of our under-19 players that are away with Scotland to face France at Clairefontaine.

"They would have played a part today but we still have a squad more than capable of getting a victory."

Is that really one of Rangers managers actually showing signs of confidence ? "we still have a squad more than capable of getting a victory."

When was the last time we actually heard WS say something like that ?
