We're not in the position to let £11 million or £12 million assets to run down their contracts for nothing. Yes, we've more chance to reach the CL with him, but that's all it is. A chance. We can't "speculate". We can't gamble. We've done that before recently and under Murray and it caused issues. We can't take the view that because we may make a profit on some players, we can afford to let others walk away for nothing. We made a £17m loss in 2024.
