The SWPL consists of 32 games.

The 12 clubs play each other twice, home and away - 22 games then splits into two sections of six.  Another home and away robin ensues, thus 22 plus 10 = 32. There are another 14 games to go.

Meantime, Rangers ladies are six points clear at the top of the league.

I will be honoured to carry the Gersnet banner in the Champions League next season  as long as it is centred on the Cote d'Azur. I have great concerns for the penurious folk of Monaco.

Started the second half better, looked like we were attempting to notch the second. Fifteen minutes, hit the post, generally kept control but a hard watch. We got the result and if we have to revisit St Mirren park again this season, I hope it is the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Nil - one Rangers at half time but, it is a hard watch.

Conditions are not great, swirling, blustery wind adding to difficult under foot conditions. The same for both sides but, again we seem to have greater difficulty in controlling the ball.

Both Wright and Sterling are out of the game so far. St Mirren have penetrated our right flank on three occasions, hitting the bye line and putting the ball across our six yard box. Perhaps Sterling could be put in front of Tav' to block access? We seem to struggle coping with St Boo's energy.

Let's notch the second early in the second period, put this game and our nerves to bed.

Steve Davis took the team for that game against St Mirren in Paisley and started young Zak Lovelace. He was doing very well before sustaining a long term injury before half time. Davis substituted Lovelace for another youngster, Ross McCausland.

I do not know his plans or intentions going forward in the game but, I hope the club can persuade him to join the coaching staff. A voice for youth is necessary going forward in Euro competition.

Thank you for the provision of truth.  I admit I am not comfortable crediting 'Big Hawns' for ensuring the club received a fee. When the Normandy stud farm owner was at the club, I determined to ignore him. Now, he has departed I do not want him intruding upon my warm memories.

I must steel myself against possible club PR penetration but, I suspect my admiration of Steve will endure.

I have related as a Primary schoolboy, often I sat with my Grandfather in the old section G of the Main Stand. There were some characters among the sea of raincoats and bunnets. One old chap had a hand made rickety(when is the last time a Gersnetter saw one) and would bellow when Henderson received the ball, "stick it in the bunion bag Wullie".

As a ten year old I though he could not pronounce, 'onion'!

You are correct, in the last couple of seasons the amount of important goals lost to opposition cross balls is undeniable.

The Europa Cup final, last season's League Cup final and Scottish Cup semi-final and, this season's Champions League qualifier against PSV home and away.

The Europa Cup final equaliser is most frustrating, why did we NOT stop the cross coming in?

I suspect the first half will be difficult, the pitch will be sticky and will soon churn.

They came up with Executive Stretch, a long weekend of middle to senior management from well known companies to participate in a 30 K slog. The first one was based at Garelochhead and the course straddled three lochs and Glen Douglas. Considerable military support was available reference shelter/sleeping, rations and, provision of necessary kit. I believe the idea was to increase understanding on both sides of pressures and demands? We were requested to submit general reports on both the organisation and conduct. I complied suggesting it should be scaled back considerably; a wander and a couple of lunches could achieve the same communication. I received the companies suggestions, they wanted it tougher and demanded individual reports.

I was not prepared to offer career defining reports and most others agreed. The entire concept was handed over to the TA and ran for a further several years.

It was a recipe for serious injury and disaster.
