  1. A world clas player could walk into any team on the planet.

    Ozil is certainly close.

That's a criterion I hear a lot. It's not a bad one, but I tend to go with 'Will we be talking about X in 30 years time?'. Which immediately puts Bergkamp and Ozil in somewhat different lights.

  3. Does this include the Starry plough that they always let them wave as well as Kill All Huns banners. I see that wasn't mentioned in the article, and i noted the orangeman effigy was again not mentioned.

I fully expect 'Know your place Hun scum' to be in the Broomloan on Saturday.

Again, it's almost offensive that Police Scotland expect us to take them seriously.

  4. (1) Anyone else think it is now time for Tavernier to be hooked and told to put in some work on the training ground? His delivery in the final third has become a bad joke and I'm convinced it's now costing us points.

    (2) We're all willing him to make a success of things at Rangers, but Joe Garner really needs to start scoring goals.

    (3) Not starting with Waghorn tonight was a massive own goal.

  5. Totally agree GS. I wonder what the shouts will be if we lose tonight and sat lol(I know it's not funny). Can't think of anybody else realistically??

People need to calm the f*ck down. If we were to lose tonight and on Saturday, our manager should be Mark Warburton.

It amazes me we are even discussing this while not discussing Dave King's purse strings.

I think it should be obvious to all what we need in order to challenge Celtic.

  6. He's one of the worst in the Scottish game at present, one of those who commits the cardinal sin as a referee of believing the game is about him rather than the players.

The referee at Hamilton a few weeks ago was excellent, Alan Muir I think it was. It will be interesting to see if the SFA afford him the same opportunities as some of the absolute roasters we've had to suffer in recent years.

  7. Doesnt surprise me either Rab - he has rebuilt a squad on a shoestring' date=' gained promotion & now sits second top in Scotland.

Perhaps food for thought for some of the "Warburton must go" proponents.[/quote']

I know we have the odd zoomer in our support, but do we really have 'Warburton must go' proponents? If so then that is laughable.

  8. I don't get the obsession with Garner all of a sudden. Sebo used to try his ass off but got slated. Waghorn has played so much less and scored double the amount. Sorry if that riles anyone folks. Dodoo scored two quality goals against Partick and hasn't been given a chance since.

A win v Inverness would be nice to leave us in a good position in the table going into the NY.

Garner needs goals to silence the critics. But I have to say, I cannot remember the last time one player scored both goals in a game and another was MOTM - that to me was the situation at Hamilton.

If he can get his shooting boots on, and the confidence that comes from that, Garner might just be a pretty big player for us.

  9. We've got Joey Garner! Saturday is going to be mental if he scores. We've now turned a corner and I don't really care what the starting line up is as everyone is looking like they can and want to contribute which is excellent. Its making our bench a lot stronger as well having guys like MOH and Dodoo waiting in the wings ready to make an impact. Hopefully the atmosphere is the same as the last couple of games and we gather some serious momentum going into the game against them!

PS Hopefully everyones bought their copy/copies of 'Glad all over' before Thursday night

Slowly but ever so surely, the feel-good factor is coming back. Three or four years ago we'd have been looking forward to a mouthwatering clash with Elgin or Montrose. And probably drawn.

  10. I think Hodson is a better RB.

I mentioned in the match thread that we finally have some strength in depth now, and the manager has some real selection headaches. For example, if Hodson is at RB, I'd still like to hav Tav in the team - but then where does Windass go?

  11. Waltersgotstyle if you're right then you've made my morning that little bit better.

I love Joe Garner. Proper fan hero type. When did we last sing a player's name for about half an hour? And that after Waggy bagging a brace  Place would have exploded if he'd got a goal tonight.

  12. As far as i'm concerned every Rangers supporting wheelchair user should have free access to Rangers games, free at Ibrox and the supporters organisation subsidising tickets for away games as part of the special projects. I would pay another £5 a month to club1872 for it.

Agreed. If a wheelchair user is going to the trouble of getting themselves to Ibrox for the game, then it's peanuts for the club to give them free entry, they're barely a fraction of the attendance. I suppose the only issue is how you then decide who gets tickets.
