  1. Looks like we are pushing 40k just now.

I bought two today - but I am little worried at having to pickup the tickets 2 hours before kick off.

If need be - and if it's that bad - I think they may delay kick off if many are still queuing to collect tickets.

  2. Our only hope is to get the five loan signings fit & playing because the squad McCoist left us with won't get promoted.

Agreed. Does anyone have any update on when these guys are available to play ?? seems to be taking an age. We desparately need them to go straight into the team

  3. Dave King is not stupid - he realises that we only have a very, very slim chance of going up this season. And quite frankly there is not an awful lot he can do about it, in reality.

  4. I was looking through the latest batch of training photos from Willie Vass, and started thinking.....

All the players look well & truly wrapped up - hats, neck warmers, long johns, gloves etc. Surely if they were being worked hard, they wouldn't need that stuff to keep them warm???

Agreed mate. They are clearly not being worked hard and never have been. It shows every time they step on the pitch on a matchday.

The standards that Ally and Kenny have let the footballing side of things drop to are absolutely unforgiveable.

Get them in doing double training - get them fitter and get them to work on their skills. It's only since Vuckic has arrived have we had anyone who can deliver a set piece properly, for example.

  5. And I still ask - why are our players not in doing double training sessions ? Do they not feel they need to improve their 'talents' and fitness levls ?????

Hearts have done ok by doing this and clearly wanted promotion more than us and were prepared to work hard for it.

Auchenhowie is wasted on this bunch !!!

  6. McDowall also said he wants Durrant back as first team coach even though Durie is doing a "wonderful" job. The dream team + Durie - aargh!!!

Makes me feel sick even thinking about this combination of 'coaches' :(

  7. One a sidenote, I read today that Warburton and Weir will leave Brentford this summer because from then on a DoF will be employed by the club and neither of the aforementioned two want to work under such a system. Haven't double-checked that with any info from Brentford though.

Yes - they are definitely leaving in the summer. Brentford are 'planning for the future' and want to take 'another direction' with regard to managerial matters.

  8. we're looking at at least 2 two-legged play offs - possibly 3 (looking more and more likely by the week).

Neither McDowall or Ally are capable of us getting through two or three play off's.

I'll be stunned if we go up this season - absolutely stunned.

  9. The spl is not something to fear. We need back there next season.

The standard in spl is shite, yes. BUT - it would take a complete overhaul and virtually a new team to be up as 2nd place to the tims, as King predicts in first year up. Will that happen enough in time for next year ?? I doubt it.

I feel it is irrelevant anyway as I can't see us going up this season at all.

  10. I don't exactly think that Dave King will be too distraught if we don't go up this season.

We are not ready for it in any way, shape or form.

He has already said that when we go up we don't want to be struggling to compete with the "Aberdeen's and the Dundee Utd's".

One more season in Championship and then come in HARD into the top flight.

  11. Even if we remain in the Championship I would anticipate a "feel good" factor at being rid of the charlatans that were running the Club. I personally don't agree with reducing the season ticket prices - mainly because I don't think that the lack of attendance is due to pricing, I think it is more due to a malaise with the product on the pitch and with the charlatans in the Boardroom. The latter will soon be removed and the former will hopefully be resolved with the right managerial appointment.

We had attendances of 45,000 in the fourth tier, so why we couldn't get 45,000 in the Championship isn't a stretch in the imagination, at least not for me.

The fourth tier journey was a bit of a novelty factor and we were all just glad to be there in the end. However, attendences (real ones) have continued to decline since (even before the boycott).

Next season - even with a 'feel good' factor, home to Cowdenbeath on a wet November night 25k will be the max IMO.

I agree that the dross on the pitch has not helped and even with cheap ticketprices - which is what they are already - then a price reduction may not be that beneficial. But it may help.
