  1. Thank you for the compliment. I agree that whether fans are for King or against the Board isn't the real issue here. The real issue is how the Club is going to move forward. I see no point (unless as I have said previously you are going to pay for a forensic accounting operation and then follow through with civil actions if you can find evidence of wrongdoing by past or current directors) in raking over the coals of the myriad past mistakes, what's done is done and we are where we are; and that is not a good place. If 10's of thousands do not renew over the summer we face the very real prospect of admin2 and starting the new season on a large penalty points deduction. The Club can do nothing without the income from its fans; that's why occasionally I get so upset with those who would delay or withhold their money in the mistaken belief that they will somehow oust the Board that they clearly detest when that will not be the outcome at all.
  2. I'd agree but add that some clarity on which players are coming and going and the change of management that many seek but most realise will not happen would also be a major boost to renewals. I think what will happen is that c 20,000 will renew before the start of the season and gradually build if there is a decent product on the park, King or no King. Folks who pay as you go after having a season ticket will gradually get fed up having to buy a ticket every time and being in a different seat every game, not to mention missing out on away games.
  3. OK perhaps I could have expressed it better but I still think that Mr King's intention is to try to takeover the club as cheaply as possible and the lack of anything concrete from him aside from the current scheme speaks volumes.
  4. So far only 8 people have voted and the outcome is very close. Can I encourage all who were at the first dinner and anyone who thinks they might attend the next one to please vote as your vote will definitely count in making the decision. I'll keep the poll open till midnight next Saturday for that purpose.
  5. The DK followers must be almost apoplectic that after all he has said he has launched his scheme and still put nothing on the table himself in terms of money or plans. Surely you can see now that you are being used.
  6. Doubtless RST members would have been happy at the unedifying spectacle of their Chair joining in the latter chant and then rather sheepishly ceasing whilst others around him carried on.
  7. I think that many will be extremely disappointed with what is not on offer from Mr King and the caveats in his scheme.
  8. A bit OTT is it not GS; calling people who renew "fools". But if so, I'm happy to be so categorised.
  9. No Sir. The red cards on Saturday were specifically against the review. It specifically says: RED CARD FOR THE 120 DAY REVIEW top and bottom. "Are you disappointed with this review? If so, show your displeasure by showing this card on the 18th and 72nd minute." Also I would estimate that perhaps 50%-60% held them up in the 18th minute but I doubt it was more than 25%-30% in the second half by which time many had been used as paper airplanes (and some even before the 18th minute). A bit underwhelming, just like DK's scheme.
  10. One director was going to sue one fan so far as I recall and with justifiable cause. The rest is just a matter of opinion.
  11. That's exactly what I suggested earlier in the thread; a lot of FAQ's/T&C's, not a lot of substance and caveats all over the place.
  12. A minority on here perhaps but it will be large overall majority at the end of the day and as has been said many times, the Board are not the Club.
  13. It all seems to be on an individual basis. So far as I can read in the T&C's there is no guarantee of getting any particular seat.
  14. I guess all must have split personalities, teddy bears one minute, then something else the next. No disrespect intended GS; but I am more than a little troubled by the thought that the Board of my Club might hate me. Do you have secret tapes?
  15. If you are referring to seat transfers then the answer is YES there is. My neighbour and I applied last year and got an offer lower down but a bit along which we rejected. This time I'd be much more confident.
  16. I got it from Rangers Media and I know nothing of that site's background or the background of those who post there although I do know that at least one well respected poster from here also posts there. I don't know how they would manipulate a poll result any more than that might happen here.
  17. It's not nonsense at all it's fact. 4.4 We reserve the right to cancel your request and your contract with us at any time prior to our collection of your payment. 5.3.1 we shall not have any obligation to purchase any Season Tickets on your behalf, and you acknowledge that this means you will not receive any Season Tickets What's the purpose of these clauses? 7.2.3 in the event that Rangers refuses to do provide Season Ticket(s) (Surprised at the obvious error in the wording which has clearly been changed.) I'm not saying it's likely, but if it was nonsense as you put it, why would Mr King's lawyers have taken great care to give themselves at least three outs? Please can you explain that to me? And don't just say it's lawyer speak; these clauses are there for a reason.
  18. And that's absolutely fine. However, there would be a strong argument to say that the Club should give priority to those who choose to renew within the stated deadline, rather than those who chose to withhold their money for whatever reason.
  19. GS I am sure you know that there is no chance of that happening. I had a look at a poll on another web site, 196 people have voted so far: Yes, I have done so already or will be doing so regardless of where the money is going (117 votes [59.69%]) No, I won't renew while the current board are in charge (31 votes [15.82%]) No, I won't be renewing due to other reasons (14 votes [7.14%]) I am unsure whether to renew or not and will be waiting to see what happens first (34 votes [17.35%]) I recognise that it's not a big enough sample to be robust and it could well be that the folks on that site are not representative of ST holders as a whole but it's not like it's a vote of 10 people, it's a decent number. If it were to work out in practice then it would mean that ultimately roughly 20,000 would renew and perhaps 15%-20% might go for the DK scheme, say 5,000-7,000, not insignificant I grant you but not nearly enough to put real pressure on the Board. In any event there is no mention in the FAQ's or the T&C's about getting rid of the Board, precisely because DK knows that that is not achievable. Theoretcially this scheme might be achievable but in practice it has no chance.
  20. No I don't but remember that transfers will be open as soon as the ST deadline passes and I know a lot of people who sit around me who are keen to get better seats.
