  1. I don't think it's a hollow threat but it is up to you and those who take your position to judge that for themselves. But it is the right thing to do from a commercial point of view and that is something you have been arguing for is it not?
  2. To make sure that no one is in any doubt about the position if they subscribe to Mr King's scheme and do not renew directly with the Club.
  3. I am particularly pleased to note that the club will support those who support the Club by renewing by the deadline and wish to transfer. It seems that many existing ST holders will be taking this opportunity to get together with friends and move to better seats. "It is also important to note that should existing season ticket holders choose not to renew by the 16th May deadline, as is being encouraged, they could lose their seat allocation. The Club believes it must - as it always does at this time of the year - attempt to satisfy the requests we have received from current season ticket holders who wish to relocate to other available seats around the stadium.
  4. Your point about McCulloch (and even more so Wallace) is quite correct. I watched him very closely from the rail at Forres in the cup last season when we were struggling badly against a village team and he had no words of inspiration for his men. He is as likely to argue with a referee as he is to restrain Mohsni, although that is certainly a good thing. He is not the kind of leader we need on the park. I don't know about this lad Telfer and bow to those who have seen him in the U-20's. Ness might have been that player or McCabe, perhaps even Hutton. McLeod looks like the best chance of a young Rangers captain for me; but first of all Ally will have to let go of Jig and I don't see that happening any time soon.
  5. I am pleased with this clear and unequivocal statement from the Club, which is exactly what I expected; with the possible exception of "a bright future awaits" which is a bit OTT right now.
  6. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell of anything like 40,000 people signing up; we don't have 40,000 ST holders for a start. 4,000 might be a more realistic target.
  7. I am sorry to say GS that you are sadly mistaken. No matter how many times you repeat it, it will not happen. The directors have been 100% consistent in their statements on this matter.
  8. I truly am at a loss to understand why you would find that something to rejoice over.
  9. Call me a cynic.
  10. No one seems to know if he's on a 1-year rolling contract or not; but if all 3 are then say £750,000. I don't think he's deluded but I agree that wouldn't get a job anywhere else in football. However, he'll walk back into TV. Maybe one or other of our directors could get a TV company to make him the kind of offer he couldn't refuse.
  11. If you say so, fair enough.
  12. Thank you for the explanation, I'll ignore the last comment since you are aware that I am by no means alone in my point of view.
  13. Can you please explain that for me, I don't understand the word "trolling" and it seems like a genuine OP to me?
  14. Agree; it was very frustrating to which him struggle in LMF when he was great striker. He went on to score a goal every other game at AZ and "after retiring from football as a player, Arveladze was appointed as assistant manager of AZ under head coach Louis van Gaal in July 2008. He maintained this position in the 2009–10 season under Ronald Koeman and Dick Advocaat. Since the 2010–11 season, Arveladze is serving as manager of Turkish side Kayserispor. In October 2012 he moved to Kasımpaşa." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shota_Arveladze When we were in Bursa in 2011, the Turkish fans rated him highly.
  15. Don't listen to the negativity from some on here, you are doing the right thing mate, support the Club, the Club needs you.
  16. Wouldn't be fair sorry; maybe if we go back there!
  17. Excellent statement, would that others were as humble and thankful; it is a privilege to play for the Glasgow Rangers, too many players think it is the other way about.
  18. A good and uncomplaining servant to the Club and I doubt he's been on massive wages compared to some of the others. A guy who sits near me has been convinced he would have been a better right back then any other at the Club but he always looked as dangerous a striker as we have had in recent seasons. I hope he gets a decent Club. Perry was never good enough in the 4th division never mind in the future. Hegarty sometimes looked the part but was prone to too many mistakes; cost us two goals in one home game last year, can't remember which. Nonetheless, good luck to them IF they leave as both are still under contract I believe.
  19. I'm totally embarrassed by that David, thank you so much; it makes it all worthwhile. I guess it's an area where my oft criticised pedantic attention to detail comes in handy. As I have said it was a pleasure (well most of the time apart from a little Spanish drama behind the scenes) and I got a great sense of satisfaction out of everyone enjoying themselves. However, I doubt Mr Cowell has anything to worry about. Meantime, have you voted? Thanks again, here's to the next one
  20. I have a feeling that the club wanted to see what King's scheme looked like first; I'd be shocked and disappointed if they don't mount an aggressive counter offensive and marketing campaign over the summer.
  21. I'd agree with that statement with the substitution of one word that's where dave kings scheme is so important it's a ready source of cash for the club.
  22. We have the salaries of the players who are out of contract to use for them or new players it would appear. Agreed we are stuck with Ally Me and several thousand others it seems.
  23. I confess I had to look that up but I agree with that or at least make it a semi-annual dinner with one at the start and one at the end of the season. Thanks for voting anyway if it was you! The decision is now absolutely neck and neck so every vote really does count folks.
