Poll for Time of Year for the Next Gersnet Dinner
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
It's utterly shocking without a doubt. Up to 2012 I would not arrange a holiday until I saw the European dates. However, I'm not sure what's worse arranging a wedding before the fixtures are out or before the date of the next Gersnet Dinner is decided. -
SPL (or what ever) play off Hibs v Kilmarnock
BrahimHemdani replied to Gribz's topic in General Football Chat
Quite so, QoS or Falkirk need to play 4 games to get to play Hibs or Killie, see #7, that said the SPL teams are still playing today, the lower leagues are finished. -
Don't know about the manager but the Maribor players were on about 800 euros a month, twice the local average pay at the time.

I'll need to have a word with you about getting your priorities in order, SC. -

Cheers BD hope to see you there. -
Can't blame either of them for taking whatever was on offer and both good honest pros IMHO. There's a year or two left in each of them at some level. Still think one of the laughs of the season was McDowall, clip board in hand, explaining what was required of Cribari before he went on as sub v Stranraer. Cribari's response hasn't been recorded, but started something like how many games did you play in serie a then Mr McDowall?

That'll make two reasons for that then. -
Some of us 60+ year olds know a thing or two about IT; goes with electronic bus passes, senior railcards etc as you'll find out one day, young man.

And I've been told to avoid the September weekend as well, which is the following weekend. Let's wait for the official declaration now please, then we can go from there. -

I hope you've all noticed that I haven't tried to influence the result by saying all the dates that I can't be here to organise it; may need a sub off the bench. -

I no sooner wrote #36 than it got time bumped so I'm bumping it right back. -
Welcome Bluerod. In terms of supporting Rangers since age 7, I have you beaten by a couple of years; are your referring to the team or events off the park? You'll find appropriate threads for both but unfortunately mostly the latter right now.

Poll for Time of Year for the Next Gersnet Dinner
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Final reminder that voting ends at midnight tomorrow, stay tuned for the result ceremony live on gersnetonline.co.uk. at 00.01am Sunday. I am fairly sure that everyone who attended the first dinner has voted or indicated they have no preference in terms of dates for the next one but I am equally fairly sure that hardly anyone else has voted. This might just be folks being polite but it could also indicate a lack of interest, which surprises me in view of the universally good reports on the first dinner and the fact that quite a few people indicated that they couldn't attend for a number of reasons but would be keen to go to the next one. As previously stated once the time of season is decided by this poll, we will leave the exact date and venue until after the fixtures are published. Any other comments in the meantime please post. -

Your very last comment makes you sound like a university lecturer of my acquaintance. Have you by any chance read the FansFirst Plan, because we suggested more or less the same thing in terms of redistribution of finances to increase competition; but we did stop short of equal distribution because we knew the Clubs wouldn't wear it. As you will be aware there was some redistribution last year, albeit more away from 2nd place in the SPL than 1st place!

That's a pretty vacuous comment since I am not advising anyone as you well know so why you raise it (not for the first time) other than as a personal attack is beyond me. Thanks anyway but frankly I don't need your advice and once you've established a track record on here no doubt you will be happy for others to sit in judgement.

Spot on and welcome to Gersnet.

I saw through Whyte from the beginning; I did not see through Green until the tapes were revealed; fair enough hang me for it.

That the Assembly which is funded BY the Club is part of an organisation who are asking fans to withhold ST money FROM the Club.
