I assume that will get merged but pro tem, based on the SE announcements posted by Zappa, I posted: I don't see anything about it HAVING to be repaid from ST money as soon as £1.5m is raised from sales or otherwise. In fact if I read this correctly, since there is no interest calculation, it would be in the Club's interest to keep the money in the bank until 1 September, since they will always owe Mr Latham the flat £45,000 and they will always owe Mr Easdale nothing. Or am I missing something?

I am sure that we shouldn't get into a they said we said debate but I wonder if your view isn't just a little influenced by the fact that the overwhelming majority of posters on RM are against DK/1972/UoF/ SoS etc; whereas the opposite applies here. That said and without wishing to bad mouth that site, it is clear to me that the moderation here is somewhat stricter than it is there!

One of our most respected posters D'Artagnan posts there as do some others I believe including rbr, STB and Frankie, the owner of this site (not saying they're not respected either!). I am sure they will appreciate you categorisying them as "an embarrassment to Rangers FC".

It wasn't meant to be facetious at all; you put forward a strong case that "a large chunk, possibly even ALL of the credit facility will have been required before now." and I said that "Quite possibly" it would; but I'd suggest that none of us knows for certain. BEARGER stated it more or less as a fact, which is why asked if he could confirm it.

Quite possibly; it wasn't me who first used the £1 example see (#32); I was just illustrating the point as you say.

He was doing quite well up to that point; bit like Gough till he compared dealing with the Board to shopping at the barras, both of which he has great expereince of, no doubt.

In the same way that the Board/Wallace would be shouting from the rooftops if they were into 5 figures; King's camp would be shouting about their first 1,000. So I think it's a fairly safe bet that renewals are under 10,000 and Ibrox 1972 has less than 1,000 signed up.

I would have thought you would have checked the T&C's before you signed up but the "Condition" is at 5.1 copied above, there is no mention of any discharge of the security. Now let me get this straight. At #33 you say that the security will be discharged "after the last game is played " but at #35 you appear to agree with me that the intention is indeed to repeat the exercise season after season; which you say "king confirmed it quite a while back. " Which is it?

Thanks, I assume you mean verbally or was so quoted somewhere in the media? Anyway, I assumed that was the case becuase there is no "discharge clause" nor do the T&C's specify this or any season or seasons. All the more reason why the Board will never grant such a request.

It matters precisely because of the point you make, if only £1 has been drawn down then that's all that needs to be repaid from the ST money.

"Presumably" indeed, but unless I have missed it somewhere, it is not so stated, so it could and indeed appears to be open-ended: 5.1 If you request Season Ticket(s) through the site, both: (i) your obligation to pay for the Season Ticket(s); and (ii) our obligation to purchase the Season Ticket(s) on your behalf; are conditional on us (or another person acceptable to us) being granted security over Ibrox Stadium (150 Edmiston Drive, Glasgow G51 2XD) in a form acceptable to us (the “Condition”) on or before 4.00 p.m. on 8 August 2014 (the “Longstop Date”). - See more at: https://www.ibrox1972.co.uk/regulatory/terms-and-conditions/#sthash.P5CBuim3.dpuf I would imagine that the ommission of any such "discharge clause" is quite deliberate. So absent any statement to the contrary, it would seem that the intention is indeed to repeat the exercise season after season; which just makes it even more ridiculous.

No I don't at all, there's a world of difference, of course there is; not to mention that he won't know any more than you and me about the Club's finances apart from what those whom he is supporting will have told him. I was jusst sayiung he is a bsinessman, nothing nore or less. Does anyone know what RG does for a living? I agree with your last sentence; question is WHY? Gough and King could be considered countrymen, but Amoruso? To be fair to him, his comments about what has happened are either better thought out or better written perhaps than those of Gough; but suggesting that the answer is for Rangers to play in an empty stadium is a ridiculous conclusion.

That's true because I didn't read anywhere in the T&C's of Ibrox 1972 Ltd when the security would be discharged.

He runs or did run a restaurant so he qualifies as a businessman in my book; but I agree with you that in this case “asking for the stadium to be empty” is indeed misguided.

Poll for Time of Year for the Next Gersnet Dinner
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
And entirely unintentional on my part, I have to say but equally appropriate to break the fast with a big dinner! The Second Semi Annual Gersnet Dinner and Yom Kippur "break-fast" got a ring to it. I'll check if Malaga Tapas do kosher food or if there's a local alternative! -
Sad, Sad, Sad...but you're gonna be mine?

Emmylou Harris and the original Hot Band: James Burton (guitar), John Ware (drums) , Hank DeVito (pedal steel guitar) , Rodney Crowell (rhythm guitar), Emory Gordy Jnr (backing vocals) , Glen D Hardin (piano) perform this Buck Owens classic on The Old Grey Whistle Test. I think this version is much better than the 1977 reprise on the same show and you do get the Bob Harris intro! NB: I have read that Glen Hardin who played in the Crickets after Buddy Holly's death in 1959, was a first cousin on his mother's side of Charles Hardin Holley (Buddy Holly) but other sources say that he was not related at all. Ella Holley's maiden name was Drake; Buddy got his middle name from his paternal grandfather, John Hardin Holley. Buddy's first (real) name, Charles, came from his maternal grandfather, Charles Wesley Drake. Apparently Ella was a direct descendent of Sir Francis Drake. Buddy Holly dropped the "e" in Holley after Decca records misspelled his name on the 1956 contract. Executives of Warner Bros. Records (Reprise Records's parent company) told Harris they would agree to record her if she would "get a hot band". Harris did so, enlisting guitarist James Burton and pianist Glen Hardin, both of whom had played with Elvis Presley as well as Parsons. Burton was a renowned guitarist, starting in Ricky Nelson's band in the 1950s, and Hardin had been a member of The Crickets. Other Hot Band members were drummer John Ware, pedal steel guitarist Hank DeVito, and bassist Emory Gordy, Jr., with whom Harris had worked while performing with Parsons. Singer-songwriter Crowell was enlisted as a rhythm guitarist and duet partner.[3] Harris's first tour schedule originally dovetailed around Presley's, owing to Burton and Hardin's continuing commitments to Presley's band. The Hot Band lived up to its name, with most of the members moving on with fresh talent replacing them as they continued on to solo careers of their own. Burton left the Hot Band in 1976, choosing to remain with Elvis Presley's band, and was replaced by the legendary English guitarist Albert Lee (who later toured with the Everly Bros) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmylou_Harris It's not often that later artsits outdo the original version of a song, but in this case I think Buck Owens would have had to give second best to Emmylou. Poll for Time of Year for the Next Gersnet Dinner
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Sorry for the short delay due to Pete demanding a recount. The moment you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived; the official poll for the second Official Gersnet Dinner has now closed and I can declare that the official result on a very low poll is a draw: Early Season - August/September 4 votes 40.00% Autumn – October/November 4 votes 40.00% Rather than go into extra time or have some kind of shoot out I was tempted to invoke the Organiser’s Casting Vote (OCV) but I have decided to take a more pragmatic approach. Firstly a reminder that the season starts on: • Weekend of 26 July - First Round of the Scottish Challenge Cup • Weekend of 2 August - First Round of the Scottish League Cup • Weekend of 9 August - SPFL League season starts across all four divisions I would think that this means that we will be at home on 9 and 23 August, away on the 16th and 30th and after that it’s a lottery. Looking at specific dates that have been highlighted: Frankie has weddings on the 8th and 9th of August (though I am sorely tempted to ignore him/that) and just go for the first match)! JC says that he is doing the deed on the 24th August and then off for a European road trip for 10 days so anytime after about the 6th Sept suits him fine. SC says not Aug 20 – 23 or the weekend of September 19th when he’s getting married. I've been told to avoid the September weekend as well, which is the following weekend of 27/28 September. GS commented that if we have something reasonably early we can perhaps then have crimbo drinks. STB has been pushing September/October time from the start. It does seem reasonable to go somewhere in between the two winning time zones which would indeed argue for September or October and this would also accommodate GS’s comments about leaving the way clear for Crimbo Drinks (which someone else can organise thank you very much!). I didn’t want to influence the voting in any way but I will be away from 12 to October to 1 November and apart from ruling me out in between those dates, effectively that means that I cannot organise anything for after 4/5 October until about mid November, say the 15th/16th, which is the weekend Scotland play RoI (Friday 14th). (However, whilst I would like to be at the dinner, I don’t have any problem with someone else arranging it for in between those dates and I'll toast you all from about 7,000 miles away. ) However, if we accommodate everyone then that would only leave: 6/7 September (when Scotland are playing in Germany and I don’t know if that would affect anyone or whether Rangers would be playing). 13/14 September 4/5 October So if I have worked all this out correctly, I would suggest that we leave it now and see if the fixtures are kind to us on any of the above dates and take it from there. If I have missed anything feel free to set me straight. -

I think Boyd would be a good signing in place of Little, for example, and should score a lot of goals next season; whether he'll still be able to do it in the SPL by the time he's 32? Perhaps for a season, so I wouldn't give him longer than a 2 year deal. Problem I see is it's hard to see Daly's wages sitting on the bench or in the stands, and it's equally hard to see Ally playing a genuine 2 up especially with two such immobile players as Daly and Boyd (even if Boyd has improved in that department) and then there's Miller. How would they all fit in? Boyd and Clark would seem like a reasonable combination with Aird and Templeton to supply the amunition and perhaps Miller off the bench or Clark off the bench for Miller?

That'll be a great season to look forward to, perhaps even encourage some of the doubters to buy season ticket books
