  1. Something must have happened at Palermo because he is just too good for the transfer fee and wages; but it shows you that if you look hard enough you can find some gems.
  2. He has been outstanding and certainly worth as much as Davis or Whittaker, though at his age he won't get it. One of the best defensive headers of a ball we've had in a long time, hardly ever needs to foul, but not afraid to take one for the team when necessary. We will not loose a lot of goals and hence we won't lose many games with him and Bocanegra in the centre of defense.
  3. It will have no effect whatsover. The good Dr Waiton is out of touch with a lot of things, reality being top of the list.
  4. Only "maybe" ? :fish:
  5. How about McGregor shagging 8 birds a night.
  6. Am I entitled to a "I told you so"
  7. There have been more than 2,500 respondents so far but there is still time if you haven't taken the survey yet please go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LWDRPV8 and pass on the link if you can.
  8. If we can only have two buttons then I think they should be agree & disagree. Either way you can add comments if you wish. Agree and thanks are close to being synonomous: if you agree then you are really thanking the person at the same time and if you thank someone it is probable that you agree with him or her, although I concede that that might not always be the case.
  9. Labour are correct to the extent that the "reasonably practicable" wording in the SPL Rule means that no Club has ever been found guilty of unacceptable conduct by their supporters. As has been clearly demonstrated by UEFA in Rangers case and only today with Celtic, the only way to hit the Clubs is in their pockets or in terms of closed grounds or ultimately loss of points. However, this would mean the SPL adopting "strict liability" and there is no way that is going to happen unless it is forced on them by the Government.
  10. That is not correct, I can assure you.
  11. That might be because the linesman either didn't see it or didn't report it to the referee; but fans and perhaps police near the corner flag reported it to the Match Commander and he has asked the referee to include it in his report. That is the new protocol. I thought it was completely out of order; he slipped and fell and got jeered so the easiest thing to do was to laugh and make light of it; there was no need whatsover for him to make an offensive gesture, which could quite easily have led to crowd trouble. He deserves everything he gets.
  12. I really hope not but I think that Wallace and Papac is almost inevitable.
  13. How silly of me to miss that, thanks!
  14. If everyone was fit except Naismith and Ness, what would your team be against Celtic on the 28th and why? This is my selection. :sw::dg::sp: :sa::sd::me::gw: :tkb: :nj: Overall, I would attack because Celtic's biggest weakness is their defence. I prefer Papac to Wallace at LB, because he has been our most consistent defender for 5 years (covering all across the back line) and can attack if necessary as he has demonstrated from midfield recently. However the first quality to look for in a defender is can he defend and I judge him better than Wallace in that department. Also with Wylde in the LMF we need solidity behind him. Aluko is the most creative player we have at our disposal right now and although he is all left foot (and how strange is it that all of a sudden we have two left-footed LMF players?) he can move across the line and swop with Wylde. I would not pack CMF as either McCulloch or Bartley just slow us down as was amply demonstrated yesterday. Neither Bedoya nor McKay have really had an opportunity to show us very much and what they have shown to date doesn't merit a place in the starting line up in my view. Davis has been a big disappointment and I don't disagree with those who think he should be dropped or moved out wide but by the same token who would replace him? Ness, if fit perhaps but not much chance of that it seems. McKay? I would want to see him in half a dozen games first and is that likely, I doubt it. Edu? I like him as a ball winner but he lacks confidence and is therefore often caught in possession. But he was outstanding against Celtic at Ibrox and as a sitter who would you put in his place? I am going for Wylde in LMF because of his pace and the occasional deadly cross as yesterday's corner, though I dispare at seeing most of his efforts go only knee high. McKay or Lafferty would be in contention but it is not really McKay's position and see below re Lafferty. I am going for Bendiksen to play just off Jelavic. I am impressed with what I have seen in the last two matches and would give him a run in the next few games. He has no little skill and an aggressive attitude. I would like to see if he can show the same skill in the box and he might get some goals off Jelavic. The alternative would be 5-man midfield, with Bartley (which I think might be in Ally's mind) or Lafferty if fit up front or wide left. Lafferty is a proven goal scorer and a very hard worker but his form is erratic to say the least. If Bendiksen can continue where he has started, I would give him the nod. I have taken it as read that McGregor, Whittaker, Goian and Jelavic would be automatic choices. Can't seem to get the G/K and front men in the middle of the screen; is there a template for this or can someone fix it for me?
  15. Obliged to you my man.
  16. Fixed the OP, can someone fix the thread name for me, thanks?
  17. I don't think you should just leave it running indefinitely there should be a cut off date and then Frankie can deal with the result when he can, is that OK?
  18. I don't see any point in that, you can't force someone to post a reason for disagreeing and as I've said already the facility already exists to pst a new comment if you want to.
  19. OK thanks for correction, number 28 I think?
  20. None of this seems to be doing much to swell the poll numbers and Thanks/Agree/Disagree is still way out front. Decision time?
  21. I was directly facing it and it was definitely made at the spectators behind the goal who he was facing at the time.
