just found out that a colleague has been doing some IT support work for Lord Hodge, who provided the rulings for Bain & McIntyre....I've politely requested that a virus be planted on his machine.

It would have been far far smarter to have dealt with it quietly back in May or June.
That's assuming that they would have gone quietly....

I often hear that even if you delete things from your computer a clever computer man/woman can still recover that delted information.
Up to a point, that is true. The "ghost" data will eventually get over written.
As a company, we automatically back out ALL our emails....this has proved very beneficial in contract claims etc. Most businesses of any decent size should have some sort of archive/backup system.

I find it quite surprising that a company like Rangers, don't have backups/archives of their email system....

I always thought that the funniest thing on tv was Del Boy falling through the bar in Only fools & horses.
As of last night, that's changed!!!
There is no competition for this:
Wonderful composure from the Celtic full back!!!

I believe it is normal journalistic protocol to allow the subjects of such programmes a viewing before it is aired. It's also far better journalism if the person is actually offered an interview in the programme.
Not allowing a pre-viewing would be sleazy journalism at best.
According to the prog. CW was asked to participate but refused.

I was disspointed to hear what AJ was saying in that documentary,he came across as being a bit hurt by CW taking over the Rangers and did himself no favours
I certainly thought that both AJ & P Murray came across quite bitter....they clearly felt that Whyte wasn't the right buyer. I also found it amusing that they felt qualified to comment on Whyte's business acumen - considering that they were the ones who got the club into this mess in the 1st place. Added to that, AJ was initially brought in to find a buyer based on his vast business/sporting contacts....the best that materialised was the bloke sitting across the boardroom from him...

can Rangers cash last the year without any apparent line of credit?
Is there any evidence that there is a Cash problem??? Last I heard from Whyte was that there was cash in the bank and the club were trading normally....

You are quite right. The club's website says they are on the Board of Directors and has done for several months but their appointment has not been registered within the required 14 days, so either the website is wrong and the club are misleading the fans as to who the directors of the club are, or the club are not informing Companies House of appointments and failing in their legal duty.
Given that resignations are being promply notified then I have to presume that the club are misleading the support.
According to the Shareholders statement (http://www.rangers.co.uk/staticFiles/4d/76/0,,5~161357,00.pdf), Whyte & Betts were appointed club directors upon the acquisition of the club.

I get the impression that Whyte is still tying up loose ends....
Obviously, he wants the company setup to his wishes ie. how many/who he wants on the board etc. I also think that he is trying to put things in place so that in the event of the HMRC case going against the club, Administration will not prove to be a problem & that the club survives. You may find that after the HMRC ruling in Nov (???), if it's favorable, the board would be added to & a more positive forward direction kicked in.
As for all the "failings" of Whyte, I trust those who class them as failings are in possession of the FULL FACTS!!! AS comments by others, there were a number listed that were clearly outwith his control ie players not wanting to move ANYWHERE.
Folk are still moaning about the amount of cash spend in the summer...I for one am extremely happy with the purchases. Regardless of the money spend, they appear to be worthwhile and are serving a purpose (some more than others)
There also appears to be a common thread in the media about negative reporting on the club....folk on here appear to basing a lot of fact on media opinion - not a good thing!!!

It really is becoming a joke,it puts you off going to games
Maybe that's the plan...no fans, no chance of any trouble or sectarianism etc...also nae cash

Unbelievable....
The new system was touted as being fair, swift, consistent & transparent.
The Hibs keeper clearly & intentionally swung his clenched fist, into Lafferty.....yet absolutely no action is taken. On the other hand, his team mate "trips" over a blade of grass to win a penalty & gets handed a ban.
Where is the consistency???

IMHO, there is a time & a place to sign off a document with the likes of "no surrender".
By adding that tag line to a well constructed, informative and unbiased FORMAL statement representing 2 supporter groups, is most definitely the wrong time to do it - it cheapens the whole statement and makes the supporter groups look like 2-bit organisations.
If it were an informal, memo then fair enough, but not a formal, public statement.

Nope. It's an offence to possess a container whether alcoholic or non alcoholic within a football stadium. It's a statutory law!
Thanks...didn't know that.
so the catering stands only sell food??? Are you able to drink juice etc the scenes ie on the concourse???

from what I gather, this seems to have come about as a result of a fan having a bottle of water.
Are you not able to buy bottles of juice inside the stadium???

No surrender?
What a shitty comment to end an official statement with.
Agree...I felt the statement was well worded and constructive, but that all went out the window with the "No Surrender" at the bottom

I thought it said it was in Gateshead, in Geordieland???

It is understood that Eck enquired about Naismith just as the last transfer window closed but was given no encouragement by Gers gaffer Ally McCoist.
Don't recall any mention of Eck going after Naisy....last I heard it was Davis!!!!

I reckon £0.5 would do it...& a bag of sweeties.
Now just to scrape together £0.5m & we're good to go...anyone want him???

The club knows which seats were damaged.....and would probably be able to find out pretty quickly who the tickets were sold too....

Dorin Goian's so good...the ball just stops

Ally on Sunday interview we have attacking players we will attack them, do for me.
That'll be where I heard it then!!
My hope was always based on the fact that Coisty was an attacking player, that's his footballing mentallity.....hopefully now he sticks with it!!

Dorin Goian....scares his own shadow...

I agree Dutchy, its time we made teams scared to play us again as they know we are going to attack them and score goals. We've got so many attack minded players now.
I'm sure I heard/read a quote from Coisty saying that with so many attack-minded players in the squad now, it would be stupid not to attack....
Long may it continue....
