  1. Clarke has worked miracles with Killie and should be manager of the season, but for me I still wouldn't want him as our manager.

I don't want to watch his style of football, he just doesn't fill me with any excitement even after the great job he is doing at Killie. We need better than him IMO.

  2. Boyd is an old fashioned striker/poacher, all he does is score goals, he needs others to work hard, create and set him up, he is lazy but has always scored goals.

He had another chance with us but done virtually nothing and his attitude stank.

It shows how much of a state Scottish football is in if he is up there in the scoring charts, us included.

We have been poor and are still in 2nd, imagine if we had been good we'd be in with a chance of the league, this is not Morleos's fault but the fact we don't have a decent manager in place.

  3. He is still a young foreign player learning here.

I can't believe what some of our fans are saying about him. Even when he misses sitters and doesn't play well he still gives 100% unlike most of the others.

Better players than him have taken longer to settle in to our club, some are even legends now, he needs more time, more support and a manager who needs to bring us together, we need confidence as we have none whatsoever, this all affects the players.

He is one of the few players we have who never hides!

  4. I like Murty and he seems a nice guy, talks very well but so did our last 2 managers and they were not good enough either.

After some players reactions yesterday Murty has lost the dressing room and does not have the right character to be our manager, nice guy yes but after hearing his interview after the game  it's just the same repetitive answer, he's not good enough IMO.

I'd be happy with someone like Slaven Bilic, Roberto Martinez has been mentioned but wouldn't be here straight away, De Boer also, even Neil Warnock to get this team sorted out, we just need a good experienced manager and soon!

Do the players need to take some responsibly, yes of course but something is not right above them and we're not pulling together!

No other club does what we have done for so long, the fans deserve much better than this from the board.

As I said a 1 year contract but I would hate him to be taking a wage for 4 years and not playing, or us paying for him to play for St Mirren or the like. He is good in the air and a reasonable man marker but going against that he is slow and once an attacker is past him he waves goodbye. He cannot pass over 10 metre's or it is to an opponent or into touch.

Don't know where you get he's slow from, seems pacey enough to me.

Like I said the more he plays for us the more experience he will get at this level, he's still learning and has only played a dozen games or so and making a big step up but some of our fans seem to know more about a player than our own coaching staff and write players off straight away :D

  6. We've been crying out for a big defender who is commanding in the air, he won most of his challenges yesterday and most of the time keeps it simple and safety first.

I think the more games he gets, and hopefully with Martin helping him on his game, he will improve.

He's only 21, Scottish and doing very well IMO considering the big jump up from where he has been playing, he deserves a new contract for me.

Watch yourself we are supposed to back him no matter what apparently

pretty childish dig GS, who said we had to back any player? I did say I was not a fan of his if you read my post.

I think I said calling our own player a useless wank was uncalled for and pretty childish so seems there's a theme here from you :sigh:

Not sure what our players get out of giving the opposition insider knowledge of our team selection but its not likely to be loyalty.

that makes it OK then I suppose

Still think hes a useless wank but perhaps he will prove me wrong

Not sure if you're being sarcastic here or not, but I don't get why our own fans need to abuse our own players.

I am not a fan of MOH and some others but I just don't understand what fans get out of doing this :sigh:

  10. I really can't get myself excited now for the rest of the season with Murty in charge and with most of our players proving they are not good enough.

It looks like another wasted season and not really anything to look forward to, I am usually quite positive about us and hope they prove me wrong but the only positives I see are some good youngsters coming through and I would give more of them a game before some of the so called 'star' players we signed in the summer.

I would love us to get the likes Garry Monk, Paul Clement or even Tony Pulis :) in but as we have committed to Murty it's not going to happen I know :(

I am however looking forward to drinking as much as possible over the next few weeks to drown my sorrows :onetoomany:

  11. We'll be lucky to finish in top 6 with Murty in charge IMO, I'm not having a go at him as I like him and they way he comes across but he's not ready for this and the board know this.

We need experience not throw our youth manager in as a cheap option!

The fans have backed our club so much as usual yet this is how we are repaid, they are taking the piss.

  12. On SSN Swansea say they are "not considering Tony Pulis as a candidate". Even Swansea don't want him!

you certainly don't like him :)

If I was at a club at the bottom of the league he is THE man I would want, Swansea are bottom trying to play good football with Clement and it certainly didn't work did it.

The main thing now for them is to survive and he certainly has the pedigree to do that IMO.

  13. I disagree.....Player funds & better quality players are not the problem in the SPFL.

We were just humped by St Johnstone.....we've also been humped by Hamilton....do these teams have better players than us???

The player pool that we have is more than capable of being competitive in Scotland. I believe we've dropped 16 points at home this season, and only sitting 5pts behind the league leaders. What we are lacking is cohesiveness & consistency - exactly what Ceptic brought in with Brenda. They haven't brought in a raft of new players, many of them are still from Delia's time, yet he has them playing consistently and cohesively.

I believe that the longer the recruitment goes on for, the more pressure the Board will find themselves under. They have said they will take their time to get the right person in.....after 2 months, he BETTER be the right person, otherwise I think it would be justified for heads to roll. Also I think that ANY manager appointment should be initially until the end of the season (with options to extend notably longer)....we don't want to be in a situation where the new man turns out to be a dud & we're faced with a heft pay off.

Some of our players are not good enough to play for us, you see players leaving us and perform very well, with us they underperform, this is not always the managers fault is it?

It seems to me they can't step up to a bigger club with more pressure.

It's easy to play against us, get to wings, cross and score or run at us as we don't tackle and let the get a shot away nearly all the time.

We don't have full backs who can defend but I understand they are probably our most creative players we have going forward, the full backs we have are not good enough to do both jobs. I don't think a manager can improve some of our players they are just not good enough we do need better quality and more consistent players, a new manger can improve tactics of course and players but not everyone.

Just to say I am not totally against foreign managers, although if we did go down that route I would have liked them to have worked in the UK.

OK I am away to get ready for a birthday treat lunch from my better half, that's me off here for a while :)

  14. A "good style of football" doesn't mean we are open to the point of suicide. A good style of football can be the German way of the high press, whereby they concede few because they are aggressive and score more in the process. Being defensive -- although it is important -- does not win you games. Pulis' win% barely gets over 40%; that's not good enough for us. It doesn't have to be either/or.

Moreover, we don't need more quality -- although I'll take it! -- to play better, winning, football; we need a manager/coach that can implement a modern style. Being tough to beat is not enough.

You do need good players to play good football , you can't expect players just to change style and all of them to be good at it. You just say foreign but don't have any names or why they would work. I respect your opinion but don't agree with it.

  15. It wasn't aimed at you, as I saw his name doing the rounds on Twitter.

He knows how to defend, I'll give him that, but he hasn't got a scooby how to win and play football. Four Centre-halfs and one in midfield? No thanks.

It has to be a foreign manager for me; but one that knows how to win. Not sure how realistic that is, though.

Unless we get more funds and sign better quality we need to firstly defend better so that would be a priority for me. I see stoke are struggling and linked to him again so I'm sure that would be his preference to us anyway.

I would prefer someone British, someone who makes their teams hard to beat then we can build from there if we can get in better quality players once we get more investment, but when will that be.

We don't have the quality to consistently play a good style of football and mix it physical wise which is needed up here and I don't think a foreign manager would sort that out for us.
