SPL inside 5 years is do-able making moves in Euro could take longer but who said being a Rangers fan was easy.

On the park consequences...off the park turmoil.
GovanAllan replied to Juancornetto's topic in Rangers Chat
Really good assessment JC we will lose some of the top earners some might take a wage cut to stay (fingers crossed). But it will be build a new team which why we need the transfer ban lifted its just crazy. The young lads and the squad players will never get a better chance than this to become Legends let's hope they grab it with both hands. -
Think we also need to get realistic when it comes to the CL, we will never win it but a don't see why we can't get out of the groups on a regular basis with a team mainly built at home, or into the later stages of the Thursday cup this all achievable with the right planning in place.
-
Right FS you've lost me here ( I know it's not hard at times ), but has he just not said I'm the only one left I will get the deal done, oh and by the way that stupid Half mill you wanted well its in the pot you can get it when the deal is finished. Playing D&P at their own game.

As you keep telling me CJ I don't give a monkeys about them, this is about us working hard and getting not just back to the low rungs of the ladder that we are on at the moment but starting to climb that ladder again. If the club doesn't strive to better itself in Europe then what's the point of going on we might as well just close the doors on the 14th of May and call it a day. But first we have to get the house in order at home take the 3 years to build a team not just to win the league but bloody some noses in Europe as well.
-
Agree CG it will take a total change of attitude at Auchenhowie, we really will need a conveyor belt of talent but it could also be a good thing and we might find we have more talent and good young players that just need a chance.
-
That's happening anyway because the co-efficient is bloody terrible we don't need a ban for that. After the 3 years we get stuck in and hopefully in another few years we might actually make some kind of impression in Europe again.
-
So just what do you want us to do because going by your take on this a CVA is not happening, and Miller is just an asset stripper who will sell everything to god knows who, who will pay more than he just did ( need to get that person to buy my house ). So why not just come out and say you think Rangers are done stick a pin in us and let's all go play golf every Saturday. Instead of trying to be Billy know all what about telling us your view on getting out of this mess I take it you have one?
-
You spend what you make its that simple it's going to be bloody hard but it has to be done better to get ahead of the rest on this.
-
Missing the point CJ we made nothing this year and I seriously doubt with the spending cuts that we would get anywhere for the next couple of years. So a 3 year ban is nothing much to worry about for us totally different if you have a club who rely on this money as we showed this year and that has to stop. So going cold turkey for 3 years to get the house in order is not the worst thing in the world.
-
So it's 3years with no Euro football if we newco, I'm shaking in my boots we need to get this we must have Euro money or we're doomed crap out of the way. Once and for all we must live within our means without Euro money end of story no ifs no buts. We need to get working within the UEFA spending policy anyway so what better way to do. I mean look at the Mhanks across the city no Euro money they've managed and I'm sure they will meet the new rules on spending won't they, oh wait they won't well what do you know a club spending out with its means surely sanctions must follow.

We should have more of McGlone he is comedy gold.
-
You haven't ask any questions about Miller you've only flung the UEFA rule book in our face to say that he can't do this and he can't do that.
-
Tell me Brianb oh wise one where in his business history has he ever asset stripped anything, taking a failing industry and turning a profit is not asset stripping. Yes he shut down parts of that industry that weren't working that to me is good business practise. Can you also tell me just what assets he will strip because I'm lost, nobody is going to pay 12mill for the land that Ibrox, Auchenhowie, and the Albion sit on so where is he going to make a quick buck. Think you need to look past your obvious hatred of the man.
-
We all asked where was Whyte's money and what does he actually do and when we never got an answer we just crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. Well we all know how that turned out so I totally understand why some will be wary of Miller I know I am. But this guy has put his past history right out in front it's there for all to see and to me it looks pretty good he took a failing industry and rebuilt it from scratch while at the same time expanding into Europe and the UK. All this guy has ever done is make things he's an engineer not some get rich quick and get out quicker bastard. He even gave the BK's time to beat him if they could and what do you know they never got close, makes you wonder if he knew exactly what they had to offer and knew they never had a chance of beating him. The last thing I would say as well is through all this whole mess he has conducted himself with the dignity and grace that we all claim only Rangers can do, while the so called Rangers men of the BK's have been throwing shit about like a muck spreader in spring and none of it seems to stick.
-
I'm a life member and I agree they are done, they put everything on the wrong horse and blew it I can't see a way back for them. Unless they have a total clear out at the top.
-
Why does he need to pay the exclusivity fee he's the only unconditional bid on the table. He gave everybody a chance to get in and they all shat it.
-
Think we need to get something straight Miller is not a turnaround specialist from what I've read, he doesn't run around finding failing companies to asset strip them. He saw the industry he worked in was fragmented and failing so he started from scratch and proceeded to REBUILD that industry from the ground up. If anybody thinks that sounds like Whyte then they've been reading to much BK propaganda. The only thing Whyte has ever made is a steaming pile of shit in the morning or everytime he opens his mouth. Americans talk a lot about their legacy and what they will be remembered for maybe just maybe Mllier wants to be remembered for saving the greatest football club in the world and if he can make some money on the way is that really a bad thing
-
I said law of averages not the bloody impossible.
-
Well just by the law of averages we've got to eventually get a trustworthy owner.
-
The last one standing so he will get my backing.
-
Seems like he knows his PR as well he's going to bloody need it in this country.
-
Sounds to me that he knows his stuff and to compare him to that prick Whyte is just laughable. If he can get us in good financial health and debt free he can't fail to make money when he decides to move on. Think admin need a bit of self banning tonight.
-
But, but, but that can't be right he's a crook and an asset stripper who has no idea what he's doing with Rangers. Sounds to me that he knows exactly what he's doing. It could just be that he's reached that age where he's ready to wind down from the day to day running of his company and fancies a new pastime.

Should the Bill Miller bid worry Rangers fans?
GovanAllan replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
If we have to cut the wage bill as much as it seems, it may not be a bad thing to circle the wagons for a couple of seasons and get the team right at home before we plunge back into Europe. You can still organise a couple of glamour matches during the season to keep the coffers ticking over.
