A few players I'd take highlighted above.

Quite a few good quality keepers on that list like Heurelho Gomes and Chris Kirkland and I noticed Rhys McCabe on the list released by Sheff Wednesday.

  2. I think fitness played a big part in him disappearing in a few games last season. He was only about 70%-80% match fit in my unscientific estimation. He'd be a good signing if he was played on the right side of an attacking three and given a specific job to do rather than just let loose to do as he pleased.

  3. Lazing around the pool on holiday in Turkey, had written it off and watched the Galatasary v Fenerbahce game on Turkish TV with the hotel staff and then I started getting texts....

Long story short, Fenerbache basically did the same thing and won the title on the last day and of course so did we queue a massive party with the turks, had them singing TBB etc. Never to be forgotten as long as I live.

  4. Not a great day all round yesterday!

I received a text from the wife just as the second half got underway saying that she'd "had a wee bump just outside Braehead"....it was either a miraculous birth or she'd pranged my car. Fortunately it was the latter and I had to leave the ground and grab a taxi over to the scene.

No injuries, just a bit of twisted metal and one tearful wife. By the time I got the car recovered and sorted a hire car for this week it was nearly 7pm and I went straight home, poured myself a large one and called it day. Thanks to BH for his concern and for organising the event, sounds like it was another good one.

  5. That very course of action was advocated by Mark Guidi.

Further, a consensus was achieved on match officials declaring who they supported as boys and girls.

I listened last night for the first time in ages and wasn't disappointed...it was like a Faustian pantomime. All three panelists refused to criticize Celtic instead blaming "West of Scotland" football fans for creating the furore.

  6. This whole saga would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that we have a rogue club and it's delusional supporters running Scottish Football. With every passing incident the integrity of our entire set up is chipped away and eroded by the yahoo's and their compliant media plants.

  7. Is it just me that finds this stuff pathetic? It's like teenage lassies playing their drama queen stuff. Is anybody on either side genuinely offended by any of it? Honestly and truly?

You'd have to care what that muppet thought or said to be offended .

It is pathetic and I'll never be offended by anything sang or shouted at me in a football context however....

Whilst there is a concerted attempt to legitimise one sides use of derogatory words and songs and at the same time demonise another this stuff must be highlighted. If we don't continue to point out this hypocrisy it will only go one way and it that will be not unlike Graham Speirs' "some thoughts should be criminalised" mantra from the Offensive Behaviour Act summit at Holyrood except that only Rangers fans thoughts, language and songs will be the ones to be sanctioned.
