It adds to the atmosphere in the stadium, do you think the players actually listen to what the crowd chant during a game ? They get a lift from the atmosphere created in the stadium, but I doubt they can make out or even care whats being chanted most of the time .

Is this going to turn into another bash a section of our own support thread ?

of- course they would call the police, but that's a piss poor argument to justify calling them scum .. So we have a group of people attending a football match who feel 'rightfully" that they are being singled out for heavy handed treatment from OB, they let their feelings be known by chanting ACAB and for that are labeled 'scum' by a cop ( who admits he has been on duty at Ibrox ) on a fans forum . You hold a position of trust and responsibility , your words on here are IMO not that of responsible officer upholding standards, and will do nothing but reinforce the belief among the group that ACAB .

Your upset because they chant ACAB , as a serving officer surely it would be more professional to talk to the people who offend you and find out why they chant what they do, and debate it like an adult, instead of just simply branding them scum because "first impressions stick".

A copper who has said on this thread that he has been on duty at Ibrox on match day, sitting on a Rangers fans forum calling Rangers fans scum .... That doesn't sit pretty with me . Like I said maybe you should ask the group why they chant ACAB, they are not hard to find.

Man up and stop abusing a section of our support because you don't like what they sing ... Maybe as a serving officer you should make efforts to find out why they chant ACAB instead of just labeling them 'scum' who lack ambition. I thought the aim of the police was to work with young people and try and steer them in the right direction, coppers with an attitude like you will do nothing to change that ACAB mind set ... And I wasn't whinning about getting you banned, I was stating a fact , If I continued to abuse other members in the same way a section of our support has been on this thread I would get banned from the forum.

Criticism is fine, calling them Scum goes a bit further than criticism don't you think ? It is a subject that probably should be debated, but the abusive tone by some on this thread is sickening to be honest ..

A section of our support being tagged with some of the shite they have been on this thread is not IMO a sensible discussion Was in-fact in response to Gazza8 calling a section of our support scum , maybe you can explain how that is a 'sensible forthright discussion' because i'm at a loss here ??

Unless you know each and every one of the people who sit in that section of the ground, then there is no way you can know what their ambitions in life are.. IMO you're just throwing insults because what they sing is not to your taste... That is petty

Bluedell already explained about the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012 introduced by Salmonds government as a reason for anti Salmond and SNP songs at a football ground.. Surely you can see the sense in that ?

The lads in TBO and the UB put a lot of time and effort into supporting Rangers, not to mention the amount of cash forked out, its a way of life for them. I think it's a 'poor show' to read them being called 'tits' 'an embarrassment' 'daft wee boys' 'wannabee girls brigaders' and whatever else. Sure some of them might be daft wee boys , who wasnt when they were young ? The majority of people in the BF1 are not daft wee boys, tit's, or an embarrassment... They are a credit to our club.

Stating facts or just putting a negative slant on it ? Facts are the attendance was recorded at over 49k . who cares if you seen a few empty seats

Telling in what way ? I would bet they do sing about the IRA or have banner's with reference to them at most games home and away.
