To be fair to the officials and VAR, you can clearly see why they didn't send the Motherwell player off for that "tackle" on McCausland

Are you having a laugh ?
perhaps the referee missed it but VAR should have spotted this & sent him to the monitor. Red Card all day long.

I reckon thats at least 9 points refs have robbed us this season. The two OF games( roofe’s goal should have stood in the first game & bug eyes should have been sent off for persistent fouling in the second game) then todays game where Casey should have been sent off for the assault on MaCausland above

  2. Call me cynical but I don’t see a great deal of difference in our game since Clement took over. We’re still getting FB’s hitting 30 to 40 yards crosses into the opponents penalty box which is packed with defenders. I say again, we need better quality in the wide areas up front

Weirdly, we could win the league this season without beating Celtic. I don't think that will happen, I think we'll need to beat them at least once in the league.

It’s imperative we beat them at ibrox next month.

As I was walking to Ibrox a guy probably in his late 20's/early 30's approached me and asked where the away fans enter, I asked why did you come to me and he said I was a bit worried about getting bother, I replied you won't get any bother here pal. As I walked him to the away entrance we chatted and he said I think Rangers will win, but we won't get a drubbing!!, I said well you guys are on a good run, but so are we!. He said I think Rangers will win the league, I replied it's too early to say that but I hope you are correct!. He shook my hand and said enjoy the match, I said same to you but not too much!.

Not much of a story but it's not very often you meet a decent young chap these days. I wish I had bumped into him after the match 😁

There’s seldom any bother when rangers & Hearts supporters mix.
Hibz, Aberdeen & the you-know-who’s a different proposition altogether

    Reference John Collins.

John Collins and his Agent travelled to Ibrox and the signing had been agreed. He received a telephone call from his old man pleading not to sign, Collins was upset and asked to postpone for overnight further thought.

When you see what happened to Neil McCann maybe you can understand why

  6. My favourite Souness interview about Rangers was as Liverpool manager just after he’d left Rangers in 1991 and was in the manager’s office at Annfield.
He was speaking about Scottish football and how there were so many people who hated to see Rangers doing well. These words came very true twenty years later when these people were effectively trying to put Rangers out of business.

By the way did you know that in the 5 years  Souness was Rangers manager(I’m including 90/91 when he left before the end of season) no Rangers player won the Player of the Year award despite Rangers winning the league in 4 out of the 5 seasons? I think Richard Gough won a Scottish Football Writers Player of the Year Award but this was all the recognition Rangers players got in the Souness years

The John Collins and Ray Houghton thing was interesting. I knew he wanted to sign Houghton but I didn't realise he'd agreed to it and then back out. I remember hearing Walter Smith say he'd wanted to sign Collins but again I didn't realise he'd agreed then back out.

Collins was at ibrox twice the day before he signed for Celtic

Me Beale is just another one who failed in the job along with Perdo Ally Mark and a few others let's hope he finds a job that uses his coaching skills and gives him a decent living, good luck to him .

    He’s a coach not a manager

    Nein to the Nine.

It was launched five years past and allocated an annual budget of £32 million. BBC Scotland's new satellite channel arrived with considerable fanfare and it's flagship news - current affairs show was 'the Nine'. One hour each evening between nine and ten O'Clock between Monday and Thursday. On weekends the Nine became, 'the Seven' and held on to one hour of broadcasting time on each evening between Friday and Sunday. PQ described the Nine as, "a world class programme combining international, UK and, Scottish news with the needs of a Scottish audience".

Instead, the Licenses Fee payers received a five year flowing trough in which the usual suspects dipped their hungry snouts. Producers, Directors, Researchers, ............... and, Presenters got to indulge in their favourite topics; Scottish and Irish nationalism plus, a regular dollop of matters Sellik. Amazing really, they could squeeze in such obsessions whilst worshipping Nicola. In excess of 250 daily live briefings from the Former First Minister during Covid Lockdowns and PQ endorsed and broadcast that several minute fawning mush of Primary school children thanking Nicola for keeping them safe. Nothing from the Care Homes.

It was a winning formulae, in a country with a population nearing six million, 'the Nine' attracted less than 1,700 viewers on occasion, 'the Seven' plumbed new lows with less than 200. It does NOT even amount to 0.1% of the population. Just another PQ scam, with the likes of RAB Cosgrove and his production company living high on the hog whilst feeding us bon mots on Twinning's Tea and Irish players named Cosgrove playing for Perth Harp in the 19th century. No wonder a breathless RAB in his 72nd year continues to chase up the PQ stairs after Producers.

Today, PQ announced the cancellation of the Nine, the Seven and, the Edit.

Airmiles Angus Robertson, the Scottish Government's Cultural Secretary criticised the decision to axe the show, claiming it ran counter with the growing success of Scottish TV.

Unbelievable BBC Scotland managed to waste £160m (5years x £32m) on a programme watched by so few.

This is taxpayers and licence fee payers money so they knew they could get away with it.
A privately owned broadcaster would have binned the show long ago or tried to make changes to it to try and improve its ratings.

But not BBC Scotland. Providing jobs and jollies for the usual suspects
The sooner the licence fee is binned and they need to get their revenue in the real world the better. Dross like NINE will get binned earlier or won’t even get started. And the hangers-on will need to find real employment elsewhere

Hoping Lawrence can stay fit as he and Lundstram look to have a decent understanding and partnership. Cantwell also cementing his place in the team with excellent performances.

Those three are as strong a MF three as we’ve had in a long time but it’s the wide areas up front which worry me. Wee McCausland has gone right off the boil & Matondo is very hit or miss. Cortes seems to have a lot of tricks in his locker but is there an end product? The much-maligned Scott Wright can at least go past defenders but can’t always be relied on.

I thought Raskin played quite well when Clement first arrived but hasn't looked up to much since the injury.

Wright - I'm not sure why he's still here.  I lost count of the wasted opportunities he had in the first half alone.  Kick it out, kick it straight at the goalie, kick it anywhere but to another Rangers player.  He's nowhere near good enough.

Yesterday showed what Cantwell and McCausland bring to the side - without them we're fairly predictable.

I thought Wright did ok last night. He was better second half than the first half though.

Like it or not we need homegrown players for Europe. With Jack maybe leaving at the end of the season we’re low in numbers of homegrowns who are a decent standard

  12. Through to the next round but our problems up front are there for all to see.
It’s beginning to look that Silva will never be prolific enough whoever he plays for. Plenty decent deliveries into the box tonight & he was posted missing all too often. And very fortunate  to avoid a second yellow card although the first was typical Collum nonsense.

Dessers was on a decent wee scoring run & was dropped. I wonder if he’ll return on Wednesday

And is it time up for Ryan Jack at the end of the season? If he can’t be available for every game then it might be better if he was replaced
