how many games has he played for the usa since going on loan? he has only played 12 games out of 25 for santander too with them winning only 3 out of that 12.

we didnt know how to use him. he was a holding midfielder and walter tried to turn him into a cross between gianfranco zola and zinedine zidane! i agree and i think that says alot about how we play our football sadly.

we were told they were ignored by green, not advised what was happening, not spoken too, nothing. some felt they had no choice but to reject it. maybe green got what he wanted? it certainly worked out for him!

thanks for that, we would still have needed interested clubs to want the players. our whole squad was up for sale for a full 3/4 year period and no one was interested in anyone despite knowing we would not be hard to deal with.

i am not sure i agree with that. we have had some terrific centre midfielders over that time who never hid. hemdani, mendes and thomson to name 3. even edu didnt hide as limited as he was, and he was very limited! davis though, regularly went missing during games. i didnt rate macleod at first, i still dont. he runs about alot but offers little else. black is just an imposter, stealing a place in our team atm.

did the release clauses not become void when their contracts went back to normal? even then, a buyer would still be needed. no one was interested before hand when we accepted any offer for players.

this is why i dont get the hate for those who left. they actually done us a favour. they done charlie green and our board a huge favour too. god knows what would have happened had they all transferred over and we were not able to sell them. as you say, it would probably have meant admin again.

i came through the dundee united school of excellence in the 90's. we trained twice a week in glasgow(helenvale). it was the best set up in scotland and 90% of our youth team were from glasgow and surrounding areas. several of my team mates from then went to have decent careers with two managing to play for rangers!
