i dont think either of them got your point. just because someone wants a level of debt to do something does not mean that person will go bust.

big tax case? rangers had the potential to be profitable but murray done it all wrong. we posted a profit in 08 but our debt also went up in the same year. murray had us successful more often tan not but could never get the business to work.

for you maybe but if my club are spending more on wages than every other club in the country with one exception then i expect more than a part time league title. if the league was our only aim why are we paying players wages they wouldnt even get in the spl?

that annoyed me. i dont think we are getting value for money. a 7 million pound wage bill and we cant even win the challenge cup or compete with inverness.

we ended up 33 million in debt at one point under walter smith and thanks to automatic qualification for the champions league we managed to cut it down. our wage bill was still massive with a squad of over 30 players. had we not won those titles, god knows what would have happened to us. we clearly couldnt afford the squad walter was allowed to build. you are right it wasnt the worst, i said the worst or one of the worst because of our league placing and how our results went, that year still makes me angry thinking back to it. it was diabolical, the fact it had some decent players in it too does big eck no favours whatsoever or indeed those players. big egos and over paid mercenaries. it was the very end of a very short era.

no they dont you are right but celtic have and if anyone wants to challenge them for the title then they need to get close to it at least. its not a case of doing what is right for shareholders or to look good on a balance, it is about how to win a two horse race and keep fans interested.

no, it isnt possible. the wages were not that different between us when under walter smith, certainly no where near the difference they would be if we capped at 30%. our 3 in a row squad was enormous and in the end we could not afford to carry it hence the level of debt which led to the bank taking over. hearts finished above one of our worst ever rangers teams. sure they had a much smaller wage bill but they had no chance of catching celtic over the season and it only proves how poor we were that year.

it will grow of course it will but not enough to give us a level playing field with celtic. we would need a turnover of around 90 million if we are capping wages at 30/35% and that is never going to happen. i agree with the no more duds bit.

i do that too! hahaha i do it with the birthday cakes in asda as well, put the rangers ones to the front and celtic ones to the back out of sight! we have had a few stinkers quality wise. i always find you get what you pay for with clothing and adidas and nike are not the best and most expensive for no reason.

if it didnt make celtic good money they wouldnt be with them, that mob alre all about money and all about themselves. even if nike takes a cut, you have to imagine because of the huge exposure, it would still be better than going with a brand which cannot get out there like a diadora, umbro or macron.
