  1. he has to decide whether he has made his money or not, does he think he can get one last pay day or is that him ready to play for the love of the game and see his time out. that is what he must answer.
  2. can i apologise to der berliner about my ignorance regarding cammy bell. i was out of order and completely wrong. he is exactly what we need going forward.
  3. i am sure we could do better for the money being talked about. neil murray should have a dossier of suitable players for every position.
  4. the whole lampard and redknapp family have strong affections for rangers. jamie and frank are cousins.
  5. i am sure she was pictured with tom cruise at our match in sevilla a few years back, sitting next to ham n egg and john mcclelland.
  6. would take him in a heart beat. he terrified the tims.
  7. bit of both. yes he said he was a rat catcher but only because his mum and dad split up and he grew up surrounded by vhermin. the lads hear was always with rangers.
  8. claiming being a key word there.
  9. i found this cracking wee article http://www.thefreelibrary.com/WHATA+FAN-TTASTIC+GAME%3B+Celebs+line+up+for+the+Rangers+Man+Utd+clash.-a0109013075 Byline: BRIAN McIVER IT'S the battle between two of the biggest teams in the world and some of the most famous footballers in the country. But when Scottish champions Rangers meet Manchester United on Wednesday, the match won't just be followed in the stands and the pubs. Going by the number of celebrity fans following each team, the game is just as likely to be debated and argued about in celebrity hang-outs like The Ivy Bar in London as in The Horseshoe Bar in Glasgow. As two of the best-supported sides in Britain, both clubs havea huge army of famous fans who will be crowding round the TVs in hospitality bars and VIP tents to watch the big game if they can't get their hands on the precious tickets for the game. From golfer Colin Montgomerie to sexy newsreader Kirsty Young, a wide range of Scots celebs will be lining the Ibrox stands or watching the game from home. And they will be joined by Irish-born fans such as race driver Eddie Irvine and actor director Kenneth Branagh, as well as English chat show host Clive Anderson in cheering the Gers. But the famous bluenoses will face staunch opposition from the team which has arguably the most famous fans in the world. From every field of celebrity, including TV, radio, sport, movies and music, Manchester United have a huge famous fanbase. And they even have a token Scot in their side Radio Oneand MTV star Edith Bowman, from Fife. But the Scots team shouldn't be too worried Gers fan Robert Carlyle's famous Begbie character could wipe the floor with Man United-supporting Steve McFadden's TV hardman Phil Mitchell. Bluenose Clive Anderson is definitely funnier than Angus Deayton, Kirsty Young sexier than Zoe Ball and Kenneth Branagh has had more Oscar nominations than Steve Coogan will ever see in his life. And don't even mention Mick Hucknall versus Lulu. So are those celebs clued-in die-hards or glory hunters? Here are the teams for the Battle of Britain Celebrity Trial. RANGERS CELEBRITY ELEVEN3. GORDON RAMSAY THE controversial chef famously played for Rangers reserves as a youngster until he tried his hand at cooking and made it to the culinary first team. He will be one of the few celeb fans who actually go to the games and is never afraid to show his true colours. Verdict: Die-hard 1. COLIN MONTGOMERIE THE successful golfer is the most temperamental sportsman in either list and has spoken about his passion for Rangers. The Glasgow-born golf star is also fond of Leeds United, but insists his first team will always be the Gers. Verdict: Die-hard 2. KENNY LOGAN HE may be Down Under with the Scotland rugby squad for the big game, but the keen fan will be keeping an eye on the score. May spend too much time with a funny-shaped ball to be a real football fan, but the star sportsman does his best. Verdict: Die-hard 8. KENNETH BRANAGH THE Belfast-born actor and director is another unlikely footie fan, but the London-based star insists he is dedicated to hometown side Linfield, local club Spurs and Rangers. Hardly ever at a game, the classical actor is more a fair weather fan. Verdict: Glory Hunter 5. ROBERT CARLYLE LIKE a lot of Glasgow celebs, the Maryhillborn star onceclaimed to support Partick Thistle, but has since admitted to being a bluenose. He's seen at the odd game, but his filming schedule will keep him away from Ibrox most of the season. Verdict: Die-hard 4. CLIVE ANDERSON THE comedian and chat show host seems an unlikely bluenose, but has always followed his Glaswegian father's beloved Rangers. An Arsenal fan as well, Anderson is very proud of his Scots football heritage. Verdic: Glory Hunter 6. EDDIE IRVINE THE playboy Formula One driver spends too much time chasing fast cars, yachts and women to concentrate too hard on the beautiful game. Still, he often talks of his passion for Rangers. Verdict: Glory Hunter 11. KIRSTY YOUNG HER affections for the Govan club may have been altered by her split from Kenny Logan. But she is definitely one of the sexiest Gers fans around.Verdict: Glory Hunter 10. LULU ANOTHER unlikely supporter, tiny Scots songstress Lulu is a well-known Gers fan whose family especially son Jordan all go to the games. She has been seen at Ibrox now and again, but is hardly a week-in, week-out kind of star. Verdict: Glory Hunter 9. MARTI PELLOW SOME fans thought Wet Wet Wet were wearing their hearts on their shirts when they sponsored local side Clydebank back in the nineties. But the band, and especially Marti, were mostly Rangers daft. Pellow was a regular at Rangers dinners and charity events and even took out a full-page tribute advert in the club paper when manager Walter Smith left in 1998.Verdict: Die-hard 7. ANDY GRAY THE former Scotland star has become one of the best-known pundits on TV for his work on Sky but he still holds his old club dear to his heart. Well known for his enthusiasm, he will love being part of the Sky coverage for the big game this week. Verdict: Die-hard
  10. all those millionaires, where were they when we needed them?
  11. agree with most of that craig. far too much to reply to it all so take this as a general thumbs up! also steven craigan is one of us believe it or not!
  12. if it was an isolated incident i would have no problem but this constant harranging is getting tiresome, frankly i am sick of it craig.
  13. nice one, have a great time craig.
  14. "If you've no desire to get into an argument then why do you post on a messageboard"
  15. i am offended by your bile. put me on ignore please, i have no desire to get into an argument.
  16. another kid who left rangers after getting bad advice.
  17. personal insults now. 99.9% of the time a sign of weakness. pathetic.
  18. just level 1 and 2 for coaching kids, i got them years ago when i was much younger. i miss it, i havnt coached for years due to other things going on in my life. the way you describe it, i am impressed too.
  19. i am not expecting perfection, far from it. now i need to watch what i say here. lets just say, the things that made me apprehensive about ally taking the job are still there, the things which made me want him removed are still there as well. with all our resources i dont think we can honestly gage just where we are. we are so much better than who we are beating just now. matches against spl clubs is a better guide. 1 win, 1 heavy defeat so far, the dundee utd will tell us alot about where we are in a way the sfl3 cannot. i dont think you can blindly say the tactics are working when we are struggling at times to beat team and players who are valued at and paid a fraction of what our players are. in fact, even in victory, i would argue it isnt working and maybe that is why i am so negative. to take you question to me craig. "would you have readily admitted your own preferred tactics were wrong ? Or would you have blamed the personnel being out of position ?" if the 11 men were played in there correct positions and we had not won of course i am man enough to admit i would have been wrong, however i dont believe we would have lost or drawn. i am positive enough to believe we would have won much more comfortably and also enjoyed the game more. football is not a difficult sport, players will play better when they feel more comfortable and secure in where they are playing and what they are being asked to do. i said lost a year because i believe, and steven craigan agrees with me here, our players are playing well within themselves, sometimes they are not even playing at all. they can do more, much more and we can be better, much better. i just dont believe in the management team, i believe they and we should be doing better, and that is not me harping on about the same thing again. it is in direct response to craigs post and is meant as an honest reply with no offense meant to anyone reading.
  20. that is excellent craig. i am well impressed. it may well just be you and i in this club!
  21. i know i do mate, i have promised to curb my enthusiasm a little but that was a genuinly good post from yourself. i posted something similar just before you.
  22. outstanding reply. exactly what i was thinking.
  23. maybe the forum should be reborn as a members only club with the members all having to possess coaching qualifications and badges? to suggest fans cant talk about tactics because you dont think they are qualified is ridiculous. i read alot of good points from fans on tactics and formations, its not a closed shop for only certain people.
  24. And there are people on here who reckon they could do a better job - I can't imagine they'd even know where to start; I wouldn't either but can imagine most wouldn't know how to even start to put together a fitness programme that includes a balance of anaerobic, CV, plyometrics, flexibility (what does PNF stand for?), agility and other stuff I don't know about (although I'm sure SuperAlly on here would be in his element). ally has specialised people to put together fitness programmes. that has never been allys job. And imagine your average Joe walking onto a training pitch of professional players and telling them how to play football... Just how would they take it? now this, this is a manager job. they are supposed to command respect. players are supposed to listen and learn from their mangers. its the managers job to decide how the players will play the game. And think of the leadership skills where the likes of Sandaza would be told he's dropped because he's the worst striker that this new manager has seen... why would any manager feel the need to say that to a player? just how stupid do you think ally or any manager is? and then bringing up mccullochs weight which isnt even a issue. and to think someone agreed and thanked you for that post. incredible.
