  1. we were always going to be out in front. the same problems which led to peoples lack of belief in ally are still the same today as they were then. it is 100% applicable.
  2. he has made such a pigs ear of the job so far it would take something like winning the champions league to win some people over. and thats just not going to happen. i doubt he will be in charge when we are back at the top anyway.
  3. but its not miniscule. it doesnt take much to change team dynamics and for the whole team to struggle. one player out of position, one player not pulling his weight, the littlest thing can change so much in football.
  4. well hes spot on with that. allys time here has been a disaster. we are not a one competition club. his cup record will haunt him and me forever.
  5. our fans know more about our current squad and team than him. he is only being respectful. i dont expect him to be critical in any way of how shambolic allys tenure has been.
  6. need i tell you football is not played on paper or computer screens. our problems, as usual, start from midfield and work their way forward. why? because you dont understand the game? you are talking rubbish. we played one up front, that is a fact. the fact you think looking at formations on a screen dictate how a team will set up, play or look when on the field is embarassingly childish. stay off those management games on the computer.
  7. 4-4-2 played right is completely different on so many levels to 4-4-1-1 played wrong. the lengths some folk go to save the managers face is embarassing. this is a new one.
  8. believing in a manager who is out his depth and clueless is laughable imo. they are out of position. clearly and it shows. i love ally, the rangers player and legend, he was my hero but as rangers manager, he is completely useless. a wise man once said, "no man is greater than the club" not even mr mccoist!
  9. who picks these players? if a manager keeps picking poor player who let him and the club down, he goes. ally has done that for almost 2 years and is still here.
  10. hegarty, crawford and templeton all out of position. tactics are 4-5-1, show them respect, keep it tight, dont lose a goal, give it time, the goals will come when they tire late on. embarassing. i would have played 4-4-2 alexander cole or argyriou (both proper right backs by trade) wallace perry cribari templeton wide right mckay wide left both wingers and both comfortable on either wing so they can be switched if we need to spice it up a bit. crawford hutton in the middle, both comfortable centre mids by trade. mcculloch sandaza or burrows or walsh. all strikers by trade. simple, easy, comfortable, attack minded and exciting. we could see how that half was panning out after 10 mins yet nothing changed. same old rubbish from super. utterly clueless. football is not hard. we make it look almost impossible.
  11. this thread is applicable every day of the week.
  12. sure we will go on and win this game, probably comfortably too, another one where the opposition tires late on. sure we will win this league, which was a gimme from the start but the initial tactics, line up, formation and players out of position in this match is completely indicative of ally mccoist as a manager. he has learned nothing since taking over. same mistakes as day 1 still happening. there is a bigger picture and the world of football is passing us by.
  13. our current manager knocked us back 3 times before he signed.
  14. incredible that a newspaper or media outlet from another country could have the same agenda as the bitter and twisted ones form here, then again, there is a common denominator.
  15. i would love to know who. that should have been the next question in the interview.
  16. i doubt very much there is any such tape. one, i dont think the sun would hang onto it and two, if it incriminates liewell or celtic fc, there is no way it could ever be made public.
  17. what a strange thing to ask a player. one i find hard to believe to be honest.
  18. some decent players in there that could easily walk into our team and improve it.
  19. EDIT by craig : No need for the picture kuznetsov.
  20. the original point was not exclusive to the epl, you just made that up there to suit your weak argument. the out of date and exceptions excuse is pathetic also. they are factually correct, whether it was 5 months ago or 5 years. cross border transfers north do happen. that is a fact. again you bring up the premiership exclusively, i have no idea why. maybe because you think it suits your weak argument better, sadly it doesnt. we have had forster, mendes and maloney move north from that league. oops. haha. on topic in which way? goodwillie is a championship player! haha. you are running circles around yourself in here. why go on about average salaries? who cares? again, the fact remains, there are players in that league that celtic can afford. likewise us if we were in the spl. so its not a fact at all we or celtic cant afford any players from there, quite the opposite in fact, common sense says there are signable players down there and there always will be. you should really stop digging. how do you know what he earns? you are guessing. i know he was on less wages than most of our experienced players when at utd. i doubt very much he times his salary by at least 10. i am not comparing them player, skill or stature wise, i used them as proof that players can move back north after being down south. that is a fact. give it a rest mate, please.
  21. they have been singing to us for decades soon there be none of us left.
  22. i think the hmrc case showed us its not just isolated to scotland, the disease is uk wide. the speaker in the house of lords was a celtic supporting catholic and the ex head of defence was a celtic supporting catholic too. westminster is home to a huge celtic supporters club as well. over there, i dont believe the catholic church has the same influence on society or politics as it does here in the uk. the head of state may be church of england but this is no longer a protestant country, if it ever was.
  23. if their numbers are down then why are there so many of them in so many positions of power. courts of law, police, media, show business, they are everywhere.
  24. i dont believe that for a second. they are everywhere.
