completely agree. that links to the utter mismanagement i was speaking of before too.
-
honestly, i am not. i have put up above what i expect of a football manager. the bare minimum. 90% of the managers in the spl are more tactically ambitious than walter ever was, and with a tiny fraction of the money walter had to play with too. that goes for ally as well. far too cautious and boring and lacking any real ambition or savi(sp) on the field of play.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
kuznetsov replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Tennis players are known to be possibly the fittest sportsmen in the world. -
the basics done well. taking games to inferior teams, showing initiative. a decent to good signing record. one who refuses to bow to jobs for the boys. allowing players to express themselves. not showing respect to mediocre opposition. competing, at least competing with any other 11 men from any other team. showing no fear. an exciting attacking philosophy. ambition befitting our club. not cry to press about the need to spend money when they know we dont have any. i dont think that is asking too much. even mentioning mourinho and ferguson is deluded and embarassing. no one is asking for anything like that.

journalists should not be allowed anywhere near it. poison.

yeah, living within our means is far too much to ask, far too much. winning european matches against minnows far too ambitious as well. yeah, you are right berliner. and on the second bit, walter sure told our owners when we were heading for over £30m debt after yet another european humiliation under him. happily spending money every man and their dog knew we couldnt afford. more of that you want is it? in the real world, you are "hoping" for a bit too much. walter was integral to our financial downfall and indeed even when we were struggling financially in his last year and in allys first year, he was crying for more money to be spent. what money walter? we had none. we needed an overdraft we couldnt afford to keep him happy and successful.

but there was a bigger picture, look where we are now.
-
dont know anything about him but my dad says he is minted.

celtic holding off releasing attendance figures. haha
-
which was rubbished by the club and lloyds.
-
the trophy count doesnt tell the whole picture. he had a huge advantage over every opponent for years and in his second spell his mismanagement along with his pals murray and bain led to allsorts of financial problems.
-
walter has never really been one to rally the troops through the media or even stand upto them though. he isnt going to start now either.

thats not my problem anchorman, i am getting plenty. going back to the jobs for the boys is my problem. btw your post above about security and solidity is spot on. when put like that, i must agree. great appointment. my worry is if he is football consultant to the board, he is best pals with ally, just how constructive will his criticism be if any of his best pal when the going gets tough on the park and allys obvious failings and repetitive mistakes are made? will walter be advising the board to relax, be patient, ally is the right man for the job as we stumble from one shambles to the next. that scares me because even david blunkett knows ally will never be a football manager. maybe his position is compromised a bit. conflict of interests even.

this is what i was afraid of. the man who brought anti football to the spl from the countries richest, biggest and best club.
-
it will depend on his role.
-
lmao i know mate. i was just being silly.
-
knew this would happen. they were never going to go down the way we did. best of luck to them.
-
can someone tell me why this is good news? walters football philosophy was out of date. what is he going to bring? he is too nice to go gung-ho in the press against our enemies. he wont be doing that. i dont get it. so what will his role be? i dont want ally asking him how to play 4-5-1 or how to show respect to mediocre opposition. in fact i dont want ally asking him anything about football. if this has anything to do with the football side of our club then its a backwards step.

go on the hibees lol top and two clear

token gestures. how many of their hate filled songs have been banned?

strange that Celtic are well looked after these days, that other wee Scottish club.
-
clear bigotry. it is because of who we are and what we stand for.

Will Hearts be fined by SFA for bringing game into disrepute?
kuznetsov replied to RANGERRAB's topic in Rangers Chat
a fine for hearts could send them under. of course in the name of sporting integrity they cant do that -
new central defensive pairing and a clean sheet. that in itself is a great news and a good boost for the goalie too. i was impressed with mckay early on but he faded out of it later on. crawford looked awkward at right midfield. black had one of his better games. i thought macleod was quiet, he just looks identical to black on the pitch. maybe both are too similar? they both seem to do the exact same things and play the exact same game. hutton was comfortable when he came on. up front, both had a poor game, i was especially disappointed in shiels, he gets so much of the ball and has some lovely wee touches but his end product is poor. little ran around but offered nothing. given the small size of squad and the amount of injuries it was a good 3 points.
