Hearing rumours we are talking with Iheanacho of Leicester
He’ll score for fun up here.
(If five years younger and with enough chance creators around him)

The Hotspur down at halftime 0-3.

The harbinger of another Dingwall result?

I'm having a good day at Haddock park and then I see the name Valentine. 😚
Harry Haddock Park?
Never mind Valentine. Willie T put it right.

Geordie Young had retired, his replacement from Buckie Thistle via Queens Park, John Valentine wasn’t up to the task, Rangers suffered a heavy cup defeat and Willie Moles hadn’t the experience to plug the gap so off to Love Street for this man. He sorted things out. Willie Telfer.
Edit: Just noticed something wrong with the socks.0 -

He’ll actually be able to walk?

If you’ve got a car to sell you don’t tell the market it’s near to clapped out. “It’s so good I don’t really want to sell it” is the line to take.

Would rather watch the East of Scotland Swimming Championships at Forfar Baths than either celtic or Scotland.
In very olden times the telly was bbc1, bbc2 and ITV. bbc Scotland did sort of exist as an occasional opt-out from 1. Of course it wasn’t the viewer who did the opting. One Saturday afternoon Grandstand was covering a thrilling Lord’s Test Match, England v West Indies but suddenly the picture faded to be replaced briefly by a snowstorm then by a fellow from the Glasgow studio announcing that lucky Scottish viewers were being taken to the above mentioned venue to watch the above mentioned event. So instead of Hall and Griffiths in their prime we got the spectacle of folk splashing up and doon the watter.
I wasn’t best pleased then but now offered celtic or Scotland at the football or the Forfar aquatics, the watery event might be a relief

He didn’t need specialist Yank trainers. His wife had him under the cosh.

The Everton-Scottish: Tommy Ring, Clyde, Alex Parker, Falkirk, George Thomson, Hearts, Alec Young, Hearts, Alex Scott, Rangers, Ian Durrant, Rangers, Stephen Naismith, Rangers and from older times Jimmy Caskie and Torry Gillick plus Walter and Archie. Any others?
Coming the other way, Stuart McCall, Trevor Steven and Gary Stevens. What a trio. We won’t see their likes again.
Nikica Jelavic wasn’t really Scottish, only a bit.

A pure shot-stopper is not a desirable asset
Faute de mieux, but yes, the ‘keeper should do more, much more. Anticipate, intercept, manage the penalty area and above all, get the angles right. Comes to naught, though, if he lets a trundler through his legs.

Not a penalty under the old laws.
Disregarding the letter of the law, ancient or modern, it just wasn’t a handball.

Defenders should defend.
Do I detect a note of irony?
Why select defensive players at all? Why not ten Cruyffs and a ‘keeper?

Five-nil to the Arsenal.
I favour the Gunners in this title race but @ChelseaBoy is a decent cove so I’ll restrain my exuberance..

While we are on the subject, I wish people would stop referring to us the 'Light Blues.' Our colours were always Royal blue; my first Rangers strip was that colour. In fact I have an LP with John McDonald singing a song called 'Royal blue.'
The paean for Willie Woodburn contains the lines:
We know your heart’s at Ibrox Park
With the boys in Royal Blue
Royal Blue features in the anthem Who’s That Team.
I always thought “light” was to distinguish Rangers from the dark blue of Scotland but more knowledgeable folk say it’s derived from an early newspaper report describing Rangers as “the light and speedy blues” presumably because they ran rings round a team of cumbersome heavy-footed opponents.
