Just watched it again on RTV. We were better than it felt at the game. Thought we really needed a creative mid but tbf we had loads of chances. Windass missed four pretty easy chances from couple of yards, Goldson from a couple of yards the usual Morelos miss plus a couple of chances where play broke down at pivitol moments. Cut back to arfield being one that was put behind him instead of Infront plus should have had another penalty. Should have been six or seven nil and would be on another night. We should sign their left back ndong, he only cost them 60000 euros!!

Was quoting you as your making out what we are seeing is an error. It's not it's mirrored on both sides and the intended fashion. Not aimed only at you. It was a common theme throughout the crowd last night with people screaming at Tav and Flanagan to get wider and close the space. We are purposefully diverting the play down to the wings then we box it off. The phase change happens after the play has moved wide not before.

The way we played is exactly how we are supposed to. Tav and Flanagan have to move I side and keep narrow. It's part of the reason we have two clean sheets. The space out on the wings isn't the danger it's space in the middle that is. So long as players track back well and the back four stays narrow and closes space we will lose less goals.

Windass will never work as he doesn't seem to like us or appreciate the fans wants and a large section of fans don't like him or his wants. He has to go the effort, time and patience can be better utilised on Middleton.

Was confirmed on the training vids that docherty was leading the pack fitness wise,, was down to him and rossiter. Also one of the videos you can see Morelos just walk off when one of the new coaches is talking to him and giving instruction. The look on the guy's face said it all. Lost my faith of him after seeing that.

Would count them if true, was there but don't remember, but possible it was him that crossed for Morelos goal. Was asking to be objective and fair to him. At polar opposite of yourself with him but would be happy to be proven wrong if he pops up with same tally as last year.

Don't really get what we have to take from this. That's a very simple and expected part of his role. Do you think he meant that pass or just hoffed it up the line? Will be amazed if five full minutes of decent play could be put together of him from the last two games combined. He is like running with weights round your ankles, just cause we got there doesn't mean it's the best course. Any clip of the header he had from five yards? looked a decent save but hard to tell from where I was. Middleton has done more in two sub appearances to attract praise and create chances. Windass needs to bring far more to the team. In training he looks like a world beater but during games he's a passenger for 80+ minutes who thinks he's a ?. Has he had an assist or goal yet in the games this season? Think all the others who have played in front three have, don't remember anything in the games from him but maybe blanking it out ??

Personally think his tally last year will be a one off. Be amazed if he gets more than 10-13 this season. He looks like a player who's mind is elsewhere.

Just my opinion but the mid three dropped deeper and we stopped trying to find the through ball and stopped the runs from midfield into the box. Was all possession football and the easy across field pass with majority behind the ball. First half was different. Both fullbacks started to stay back too. Wasn't until the Middleton sub the mentality seemed to change. Could have been fitness or nerves but just came across to me as trying to keep the win instead of pushing on. Middleton changed that so giving Gerrard his due there.

Only negative I took is team and manager need to very quickly realise seeing out 1-0 wins against smaller teams is completely unwanted and akin to cowardice at Ibrox. It is not and will never be tolerated. Hopefully they understand that quickly, Windass has never been able to understand what we want but looked like Gerrard did when he brought on Middleton. The roar that went up after his first run wasn't missed. Seen Gerrard spin round and say something to the dugout " that's it that's what weve to do sort of thing" That wee boy is a joy to watch, zero fear and 100% determination.

Sure will, three friendlies and a ten day training camp to prepare isn't enough then not sure how we could fit in more games and still hit employment law holiday wise unless we dropped the training camp which I personally wouldn't do. Think it was thought the players needed coaching more than 90minute friendlies to prepare.

TNS, Welsh champions and preparing for champions league qualifiers is pretty similar to what we face tonight especially in style.
