I've only seen the goals from Saturdays game Frankie, did Bartley look as if he could become a bit of an enforcer in the middle of the park? I personally think we're a bit of a soft touch in there sometimes. We could do with a 'hard man'(for want of a better phrase)in there, especially against you know who. Both did very well.Bartley was a lot bigger than I expected - looked like some sort of wrestler in the middle of the park. However, he was also quick, decent on the ball and got forward when we could. Looks a real find actually.
As for Healy, well I was extremely underwhelmed by his signing but on that display he could prove me completely wrong. He also looked very sharp, quick and was good on the ball. Unlucky not to score earlier than he did he finally did grab his goal with a composed finish.
Very happy with both of them!

Given the amount of games we're going to have to play in the run in, it was hugely important that the new guys hit the ground running, so,
good news on that front. Also, this will hopefully put a bit pressure on under performing regulars to get their act together.

Sounds like the whole school-mistress thing is just an excuse for putting a dress on, Frankie.

Got Spain, again. Got them in the Euro champs last time and scooped the loot.
More of the same please.

.
It could actually mean the opposite!
It could. I wish the feck something would happen one way or the other, all this speculation is killing me.

Surely a new owner should be given the choice of who he wants at the end of next season without it already being announced?
Does this news possibly mean there is no change of ownership imminent and Rangers are proceeding with a plan to that regards?

I like it. Now to convince her indoors to splash the cash and kit myself and my wee boys out.

Although i understand everyone's apprehension about AM getting the managers job, i doubt Walter would allow AM to take over as manager if he didn't think he could do the job. Given Walter's experience and love for the club, i'm sure he would tell the powers that be that AM wasn't ready and should look to bring someone else in.
Also, what does this tell us about what's going on upstairs? I'm sure Walter said he wouldn't sign a new contract if he was forced to sell his best players and not be given any money to strengthen the squad.
Does this mean he's been given some positive news in regards to the financial situation?
Let's hope so.

I still don't believe he's anywhere near good enough for us
Couple of mates at work are ST holders at Tannadice, they say he's been outstanding and will be gutted when he returns to Ibrox. I watched him against the Jambos at the weekend and he strolled through the game. I think Craig Burley gave him MOTM.
If he's doing a great job for them, i see no reason why he can't do the same for us.

Without doubt, a match winner when he's on his game. Unfortunately, limited game time through injury and inconsistency means imo, he wouldn't be a great loss.
I would like to see us go for Danny Swanson at DUTD. Arabs at work rave about him all the time, and having watched him against the Jambos at the weekend, i think he'd be a good signing. He was at the heart of a lot of the good things that DUTD did offensively.

That is quality. I take it the Stu in Stuwall stands for stupid.0

There's a number of contenders, but it has to be Steven Davis for me.

David Weir, for me, is the finest individual to grace Ibrox since Richard Gough
The one thing that stands out about him for me is his presence, he has a real air of authority. Doesn't scream or shout, just leads by example.
I doubt you'll find a player who's is or has been more committed to the Rangers cause.
A wee side note about the Hutchison family. My old man played along side his dad at junior level before big Tommy went pro...............Okay, i know it's not very interesting.

Thommo and Edu in the middle for me. I'd stick with Davis on the right, but give him the licence to wonder if and when required.
For me, Edu changed the OF game when he came on. He gave us much more energy, with and without the ball and he gave us some much needed forward momentum. Attributes that are critical, especially when we're away from home.
Unfortunately, Big Lee gives us neither.

Couple of Arab mates at work keep telling me how good Andy Webster has been since he joined on loan. Quite a number of MOTM awards apparently, seemingly not the same team(defensively) when he's not playing.
Outside chance maybe?
Also, good news for us, if he comes back next season.

Holy mother of f**k. You would think it would be really painful to go through life that paranoid.
I'd like to hear the author's explanation as to why he/she thinks we're vulnerable and what corner we're actually boxed in.
As to the so called exploitation of Falklands hero Simon Weston, that comment is rather sad and indicative of a group of people whose tortured souls have caused them to abandon all hope of ever having a shred of decency.

We're back to 10 points clear & things don't appear as bad in my eyes as some people would have us believe.
Not that i'm up or down on the whole 'protest' thing, but could that be a saving grace for Muir/Bank/Club at the moment. Things are going well and a large number of fans seem quite passive about any hard hitting protest.

Jeezuz, maineflyer, a thread that you've not got at least one other members back up. :box:

Proud indeed. I'm not a FF member, but for this post to be removed and the poster to be banned is almost beyond belief. I'm obviously not clued up on the politics of other forums.
Nevertheless, excellent work by all concerned on VB.

As much as we all hate to see good players leaving, 5M(if indeed we get that) for a player who hasn't featured that much this season, due to a number of reasons and is intent on leaving anyway(if everything we hear is to be believed) will be a great piece of business IMO.
Still in both cups(1final) and a 10pt lead at the top of the league. If you weigh 5M against what we've had from Boogie this season and how we've coped in his absence, i'll be well chuffed if we get around 5M for him.

Pity, he really was an excellent prospect before his horrific injury problems.
Good luck to him, wherever he ends up.
