  1. If Velicka is not in his plans, then I would like to see him used in a deal for him to go to the jambos and Berra to come to us.

The Hearts gaffer has already stated he'd like to have him at tynecastle(albeit on loan). So there might be a deal to be struck there. They get AV and some cash and we get a proven(spl) centre half, who's at a good age and still has plenty of potential to get even better.

  2. Maybe someone told wattie about the AJAX way of doing things, you know, the old total football thing. Getting players to play in several positions, to educate them in all areas of the pitch.

Obviously they forgot to tell him you're supposed to start them when they're eight and not in their twenties. DOH! :brick:

  3. I disagree. I think those responsible for the planning and performance of the Rangers team last Saturday have to take responsibility. Continually making excuses for those in the front line is only perpetuating a situation that has been grossly unacceptable for years.

The point you make about dropping points against other teams is valid enough but why are the points dropped against our main rivals for the championship suddenly more excusable.

Everyone knew before the game how important it was to win - we didn't and it is almost universally recognised that the team selection and the performance of certain players was well below what was needed. We've simply got to stop settling for second best and fret less about being critical. Criticism may be an uncomfortable commodity for some in this pc age but it is the lack of it that has allowed our decline to happen.

    Excellent post, as usual.

  4. Sell our best players, get rid of some of the dross off the wage bill, replace them with more dross and hope we can finish second !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly Ian, those could have been the very words SDM used in his last meeting with wattie. :(

  5. Interesting point you make about 'our' players not being prepared for the second half. I thought their body language was poor. It looked to me that their attitude was 'job done' and decided that the three points were in the bag, given their domination in the first half.

Given the amount of experience in that dressing room(players and management) you would have thought they would have made absolutely sure they were up for it and warned them of getting caught cold.

Gee, it's fun watching Rangers at the moment. :sigh:

  6. Five down and one to go. Bet a tim at work that septic wouldn't win any of their CL games, with their first game being the Danes at the tattie dome, he about bit my hand off when I offered it to him............HA HA HA LOOSER. :P

  7. I think that there is every chance that Whittaker would struggle as much as Broadfoot, even more so probably. the benefit of Whittaker is from an attacking perspective obviously. It's a case of weighing the twio against each other.

On balance, I'd go for Broadfoot, which doesn't give me a great deal of pleasure to say.

I think SW has a wee bit more pace than KB. I'd hope that would help in dealing with the wee rebel turncoat.

  8. Yip, Macs team for me. If we do play one up front, Big Kyle looks as if he has all the attributes necessary for the lone striker role. Height, mobility, technical ability, pace and energy.

I'm pretty confident we can get a win on sunday. The septic are average at best. Their reliance on teams/players feeling inTIMidated when they play in the piggery is their main weapon IMO.

If we go there and play with the same urgency and quality like we did at the sheep, I'm confident we can get a positive result. Of course it'll have to last ninety minutes and not just the forty five, as was the case on saturday.

So c'mon watty, let's get in about this s***e and show them who's boss. :box:

    NO SURRENDER. WATP. :rfc:

  9. Id have rather we had Beasley on from the start and maybe gave us an hour or even just 45 mins

That's waaaaayyyy too obvious Gribz. You also could've put your life savings on Davis being stuck out on the right hand side.

More unbelievable decisions from Watty. :brick:

  10. As I write, have just heard that (1) Davis has signed; and (2) that Bresciano deal is close as well! Blimey, we're being spoiled!

I think Sir Dave has found an old bank account that he'd forgotten about and there was a spare 15 million in it. ;)

    Keep it comin' Dave.

  11. Glad you said squad. Davis isn't good enough to get in the team...... how times have changed from a week ago hey ?

Seriously though, Davis a week ago would be a starter and now he is inthe position of struggling to get in. Makes for good competition, hopefully !

Absolutely. Another good centre half and I'll be even more confident we can stop the rebel rabble in their tattie munchin' tracks. :box: W.A.T.P

    NO SURRENDER.

  12. I'm not sure if it's just me, but i thought KT played with a bit more freedom on saturday. He looked well at ease with Pedro in there beside him.

He seemed to want to get involved in the last third a lot more than usual.

Not sure if it was the pedro influence or Watty has told him to get more involved offensively. Whatever the reason, he looked more like the player we bought from the hibees. Energetic and influential.

  13. Sorry, has to be cancelled out by the poor decision to put LM in the starting line up.

:D Yeah, good point. Surely now he has to spend some time out of the team. Especially with the new signings on their way.

F**K ME. I've just realised I tried to second guess wattie when it came to his team selections.

    What was I thinking.

  14. A week ago and I wouldnt be confident of having 3 points from our first 4 matches...... now I actually CAN see us winning at both Pittodrie and the mechanodome.

Agreed. Some sense finally being shown in the transfer market and the tattie munchers dropping points has given many a little hope.

I know it's early doors yet, but after the start we've had( CL, Carlos and transfer market ) to the season, it's good to feel a little optimistic.

There will be no doubt many tears shed this season( Again ) but for now, I'm gonna try and enjoy the wee lift we've had in the last few days. :)

  15. 2 games gone and already having to chase us, overrated scumbags.

Told my arab mates at work, who weren't that confident, they would take something from them.

3 points at the sheep next saturday and then a win at the piggery and the screws will tighten on wee chesney.

  16. Dont forget that he chose the Irish 4 years ago when we had Bertie Vogts at the helm and at that point Ireland were better than us.

That makes it even worse. The little :wanker: turned his back on his own country in what was clearly an hour of need.

    Glory huntin' wee barsteward. :ffs:
